Part Twenty

Instead of returning home the next day as planned the little party were taken out of the city by Brian and after a longish drive down country lanes arrived at a large country estate, this was Brian`s ancestral home and he wanted them to see and know about their family history although he himself wasn`t exactly proud that his father had been a big arms dealer.

Chapter 2

God things came around so fast instead of going someplace else to get myself sorted out I made appointments with different places here in town. Alright I’m a bit vain I guess and I decided that if I’m really going to do this and everything that I was Really going to do this.

What's Happy About it?

What’s Happy about it?

Author’s note: As those of you who are always good enough to read my offerings (and some of you even better for paying for them :) you will know that most of my work relates to nice people often placed in adverse circumstances. My trademark is goodness, justice and mercy prevails, or at least just enough to give us a happy ending. This time I have tried something different, with not so pleasant people in, well, I suppose the only description could be shitty circumstances.

Does it have a happy ending?

Read it and judge for yourselves (assuming more than one person reads it, that is.)

Please note, the dialogue is undertaken in a Scottish accent, so please bear that in mind and dinna (EXAMPLE) pick me up for spelling and grammar, as I’ve tried to write phonetically where appropriate.

Pink Angel

Pink Angel

I saw her standing forlornly in the corner of the store, her price marked as “half-off”, and I simply had to bring her home. She was a Christmas lawn ornament, a life-size announcing angel with trumpet ready to blow, lit up in pink in honor of breast cancer research.

I put brought her home, and set her in my tiny front yard, and then went inside. I was all alone now, and felt desperate for company, so at the start or at the finish of every day, I found myself sitting on my front step, talking to my new guest.

I slowly strolled by the dress shops, momentarily gazing into the windows and looking at the new styles from New York. I caught sight of my reflection in the window, blond hair askew and lightly floating in the gentle breeze. I straightened my light jacket and continued to walk down the sidewalk.

"How'd you like to wrap those long legs around me honey?" I glanced up, a man in a white tank top had settled in beside me. He was grinning like a hungry wolf. A soft breeze blew across my exposed legs and drifted up the cotton mini skirt I was wearing.

Too Little, Too Late? 45

CHAPTER 45
Larinda’s head lay on my shoulder as the twin prop droned South, Rachel snoring gently across the aisle of the half-full plane. We had seen Will off on his own flight home, and there had been tears on all sides. I fully understood how he was feeling, for while I had found acceptance both at home and where I lived, he only had us anywhere near him, and one brief glimpse of the promised land to show him what could or might be.

Chapter 32

I’m not sure if it was the thing with Troy or just some defensive woman instinct running through me but even as I rocked Njinda my body was humming with this. He’s not going to touch her; he’s not going to hurt her. Njinda’s family…no one’s going to hurt my family.

It’s not too long before the guys showed up there was a mix of gravel and tires skidding to a halt on pavement. Then Holly’s letting Tim and Davey inside. Tim’s holding Holly and Davey takes Njinda out of my arms and she bursts out bawling and he hugs her and picks her up right off her feet and sets her on the edge of one of the booth tables and he holds her a bit more and he’s whispering to her in the quiet Davey way and she’s nodding then wrapping her arms around his neck and he leans in and kisses her then they touch foreheads looking into her eyes.

Chapter 24

I can’t help the smile that’s there on my face as I tossed her flannels towards my…out bedroom chair and work off her pretty little panties, light blue Chilly Willie the penguin’s seem so cute as I tug them off her hips from side to side inching them off and kissing her abdomen to her pubic mound then her I get to her sex.

Where this is coming from I have no idea but it’s just flowing out from my heart, soon, soon she be doing this for me…I tilt my head and make a kiss and slip her outer fold between my lips softly and move my head up the length if her slit then down and as I tilt my head to start on her other fold I slip my tongue inside then my lips continue as I make love to her.

CHAPTER 44
Bodies surfaced, and Jim took a turn in the kitchen with Mam to make sure the breakfasts flowed. Larinda eyed me critically.

“You do know you will be on lettuce leaves and water for the next two months, after this?”

“I can’t say no to my dear mother, can I?”

She stuck her head through the serving hatch. “Didn’t stop ye when ye were a bairn, did it?”

Chapter 9.

Sable is pretty cool and she hangs around while Dad and our lawyer get things straighten out a bit more with the principal and the school and there’s still enough of the hub-bub going on with the LGBT crowd and their family and supporters and the Church types and the cops after idiot jumped and whacked the principal with his paper weight in a fit of right winged churchy moronity.

Dad’s on the phone with Mom and stuff and stuff every once and awhile and it’s fairly late when we get out of the whole thing and get to the parking lot.

Sable and I are holding hands on the way there. I’m not really sure how that happened but hey I’m not really going to look the gift horse in the mouth y’know. Dad’s getting in the car and stops.

“Sable the food and stuff was a godsend but the wife wanted to know if you’d like to come over to the house for some supper?”

Can I have some Brown Sugar for my Damper? Chapter 1.

There’s days that I just hated my life and everything in it and there’s times where things just come right out of left field. Like the letter I’d been holding here curled up in the window seat of my chilly Montreal apartment.

I thought we were good, I thought she loved me and that she could handle who I really was. Sylvie just kept poking and picking away at my defenses, and It was just choking me off like a slow death not being able to be me.

O, but if I could hie to Kolob,
E’en in but a twinkling of an eye.
O, then might I turn back the pages,
E’en back till before my mortal birth.

Then, but might I then reconsider...
E’en that great and dreadful decision...
O, that terrible terrible choice.
E’en which now wracks my soul in torment.

A Tapestry of Stars

A Tapestry of Stars

The first thing that drew my attention when I came into my local Pride center for the first time was a large tapestry with gold stars covering it. Above the tapestry was the the words “We remember” in large glowing letters.

I went over to one of the staff and said, “Wow. That represents all the gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans people who have lost their lives?”

“Actually, that’s just for the Trans people. We need a book for the others.”

He sat down, and nodded round the table.

“Some of you know me, like, so let’s get that bit out of the way. What we are talking about is over thirty years ago, and I don’t know about people changing, but me, it’s more like waking up. What I was…I think these two lads…this lad and this lass know what I was”

A letter to my mother

Dear Mom,

This is probably the hardest letter I have ever written.

First, I love you very much. I love you and I honor you for everything you have done for the family I have now and the family I had when I was young. I’m so very sorry that I made all that so much harder for you. I hope recent years have made up for all the hard times I put you through during my teen years.

CHAPTER 41
Marsden is still a lovely place, a chaotic jumble of sea-stacks and tidewrack, sand and pebbles, with the deafening sound of kittiwakes screaming their name in case they forget it. We spent a while skimming flat stones, and exploring the caves under the Rock before returning to the Grotto terrace, where Mam, Neil and Ralph were ‘hevvin’ a bit tab, like’

Too Little, Too Late? 40

CHAPTER 40
We joined the rest a little later, somewhat more relaxed, and over breakfast we planned the day’s campaign. The morning and early afternoon for Will at the college, while three of us did the rounds of the shops, and then Neil and Mam would meet us with the cars for a drive out to the coast and an early tea. Back home, change, and into the town again for our night out.

The Bus Stop
