Midnight, Jack’s Ranch:
The Werewolves that came to help and protect Jack’s family were patrolling the perimeter of the property. Jack’s wolves were patrolling closer to the main house. Jack’s wife Debbie felt it would be better if all the grandchildren and the adults were at the main house, instead of in their own homes. This way they wouldn’t have to split their forces up.
Tizzy and Julia were patrolling the grounds with Terror, Sphinx, and Simba. Rae and her husband opened a portal to Tizzy’s house and brought Simba back to the ranch. Dallas, Waffle, Trigger, and Lobo were guarding the house. Waffle was the only coyote on the Bounty ranch. Julia started training him to be like the wolves since he was Haylee’s pet.
Arabella, Amy, and Jenny were taking turns with the stealth drones that were patrolling the property. They were using a remote unit that Arabella set up in her grandfather’s office. Arabella knew her grandfather didn’t like technology that much, but because everyone was being protected at the main house. She needed a big room to set the remote equipment up.
Rae and her husband were outside on the porch scanning the grounds. They had set up several mystical alarms, so if any magic was used on the ranch, it would let them know. Katy and Selina were fixing food for everyone.
Gina and her husband were up in one of the grain silo’s watching the property. They had several of the sniping rifles Jack kept at the house.
“Arabella, how is the rest of the property looking, sweetie?” Gina was staying in touch with her daughter.
“Everything is looking good Mom. Aunt Anika and her team are flying towards the island where Grandpa is.” Arabella received a message from
her aunt Anika that she was taking her team to rescue her brother.
“I feel sorry for whoever kidnapped Grandpa. Aunt Anika and her team are going to rain hell on them.” Gina knew how vicious her aunt could be.
“Especially Terry with her toys.” Arabella likes collaborating with Terry.
Terry was a big help with some of the problems she was having with the drone she built. One of the drones starts alerting her to a presence north of the main house. She sends the drone closer to investigate. Another drone alerts her to a group that suddenly appeared.
“Mom, we have intruders north and east of the main house.” Arabella sends another drone to investigate.
Suddenly there are over sixty blips on her monitor. Arabella hits the alert button “Mom we have over sixty people that just appeared out of nowhere.”
The alarms go off at the main house as all the televisions in the mansion switch over showing sixth blips surrounding the mansion. They were still a bit away, but they were within the perimeter.
Debbie, Selina, Katy, and Ikaika herd all the kids and grandkids into the safe room under the mansion. They had several escape routes they could take if the safe room was found, without the attackers finding out where they were going.
Roxy and Catori’s cat were with them, along with Cadmus, Lone Star, Blacky, and Astara. The wolves would protect the kids with their lives. Silvia and her husband were making sure everyone was safe.
Gina and Arnold were killing every intruder they could locate. It seemed the intruders came prepared this time and were better organized. Gina relays this information to her sister, her mother, and the leader of the Werewolves working with them.
Tizzy and Julia get jumped by six of the intruders. The wolves were holding off two more attackers as Tizzy and Julia dealt with the ones attacking them. The intruders were better armed and better trained this time around and were giving Tizzy and Julia a run for their money.
Not only were they giving the Bounty clan a run for their money, but also the ranch hands and the Werewolves. The mercs that showed up this time were out for blood and were determined to kill everyone present.
Debbie looks at her children outside fighting and wonders if they will survive. She knows they were safe down in the saferoom, but she still felt protective of children fighting outside.
“Arabella, can you give me a better view of what is going on?” Debbie was watching live feed from her granddaughter’s drones.
“Yes ma’am.” Arabella moves several drones around on the property so her grandmother can get a better look.
“Sweetie, can you send some of your combat drones over to help the ranch hands near the hangar?” Debbie noticed that the ranch hands needed help.
“I can Grandma, but it won’t be as effective as Brutus.” Arabella knew the smaller combat drones weren’t as effective or better armed as Brutus.
“Send them, sweetie. They need help.”
“Yes ma’am.” Arabella activates the drones and sends them out to help the ranch hands.
