Jen Xing's journey and triumph

http://rockcenter.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/04/03/10999602-ch...

A story on this amazing person will be on The Rock Center at 10 (East) 9 (central). It should be about 15 minutes long. In a country like China who still value boys over girls, her father's attitude is perceptive and loving. Even the Chinese government values her, and so does her husband who happens to be German.

Cool!!!!

Gay rights - oppression in Russia

According to an article in the Guardian, St Petersburgh is following other right wing local legislatures in condemning 'Gay propaganda'. I wonder if we've seen the pendulum start to swing back to the right after the recent increase in liberal policies around the world.

Looking at the way the church in Europe and America is increasingly trying to undermine personal freedoms and various governments seem intent on the same agenda, are we starting to see a reversion to old hypocrasies, double standards and totalitarianism?

Child abuse in care.

After reading Angie's last chapter about Jacquie's obscene maltreatment in care I feel this website might make interesting reading for any who think it's unrealistic and that this level of abuse is improbable..

Believe me, this is exactly the sort of stuff that went on in my time and is still going on today!!!

If you don't believe me, read this.

About my story "Our State Fair"

Folks who've read my recent story "Our State Fair" may be interested in some of the background information that I, uh, fictionalized. As one commenter on my story has noted, a uterine transplant was apparently performed in Turkey last year. The medical communities of several countries are, in fact, vying to be the first to perform viable uterine transplants; I thought I'd make it easy on them by having the transplant occur between siblings. But now let's talk about food ...

Old News but...

This is old news but still significant. On Christmas Eve last year someone who touched me passed away. Radio host Lynn Samuels, who started at WBAI in New York, moved up to WABC, was fired from there and moved to Sirius Left, died.

That is the way the Cookies crumbles.

I know it has been mentioned at least once. But, here in California one of the supposed more foreword thinking areas of the USA. Unfortunately this is not true, and her parent may have affected her opinions of a person her has never seen in the flesh according to the sources I have read and the videos I have seen both in her favor and against the views he has taken. There is Girl Scout who is trying to under mine the organization of girl scouting.

Canada-bans-trans-people-from-flying

In reading the blog about the child sent to a psychiatric ward in Germany, I saw the following. That was terrible but affects only one child. One is of course too much.

But the following will affect many.

I do not know how the folks here who are transitioning handle Department of Homeland Security Pre-flight checks, but the ban in supposedly "liberal" Canada, must be frightening. Poor Dorothy and I assume others who may have to deal with this.
