Having become acclimated to flying the spaces between realms, the trip was uneventful and direct. Not as quick as an immediate translation, but I wasn’t ready to test such maneuvering to patterns not ingrained in both memory and heart.

Somehow both felt necessary.

He developed a machine to transfer a human mind from one body to another. It worked, sort of. The first big problem with it is that the receiving body must not already have a mind. He successfully tested it by transferring the mind of a person suffering from a terminal disease into the body of a person who was brain-dead and being kept alive by machines.

Cindy’s Blake Office:
Cindy went through her email since she finally had a break and spotted the one from Dr. Penn, hoping it was good news for once instead of bad news. She and her husband have been having sex for the last few weeks. Usually, when a mated couple has sex, the female becomes pregnant right away; however, in her case, that didn’t happen.

Getting everyone off the island was a chore and a half. They had to call to get some assistance from a British and American naval ship in the area. The seaplane Anika and her people came in had room for Sher Khan and Chaos. Samson didn’t want to travel in the same seaplane as the two giant animals, so he traveled with Jack and Nick on the British ship that was providing assistance. The five people Jack, Cheshire, and Nick rescued traveled on the US vessel. The department they belonged to authorized it.

Chapter Thirty-Two - Gifts

Distant birds in Gabriel’s sky hang motionless, and the breeze ruffling through her brother’s soft curls ceases entire. The scene of the mighty slabs guarding the entrance to the Monument below sits frozen, and, unlike before, the page does not turn.

Everything remains still instead, as if suspended by Raphael’s previous words.

Until a different voice entire speaks.

“You have questions.”

Chapter 9: Nail in the Coffin

David’s sleep was anything but peaceful. As he lay in bed, his mind raced, consumed by the absence of the medallion that had recently vanished from his life. The empty coffee table loomed ominously in the dim light of the room, serving as a silent reminder of his inner turmoil. Unable to ignore it, he felt an unsettling emptiness, as if a vital piece of his identity was missing, leaving him incomplete and adrift.

Teela and Emily arrive at the address they were given. They looked at the building in front of them and couldn’t believe that it used to be some sort of warehouse.

“Are you sure you have the right address, Teela?” Emily looks at her friend.

“I’m sure. This is the address Jester gave me. She also gave me the entrance code as well.” Teela walked into the small foyer and noticed there was a metal keypad with black numbers and letters.
