“These medium range earphones are great, Mortar. Good work.”

“Ah, it’s no problem at all. It’s the least that I can do. Is everyone in place?”

“All set. Are the girls not patrolling tonight?”

“We’re both at the festival enjoying ourselves, sweeties.”

“Aw, is little Pixeletta dressed up in a cute and embarrassing outfit? I want to see.”

“I happen to have a camera, and I’m posted nearby.”

“You guys do know I can hear you too, right?” Judy whispered hoarsely.

Webster’s dictionary defines Speed as the fallowing: the rate of change of position along a straight line with respect to time over a set distance. In other words, the quicker you can get from one place to another. The question is what would you do, when your family has spent the last two generations in search of ways to accomplish this goal faster and faster. Would do you do when the family business is the search for more Speed. For Robert ‘Robby’ McGuire the answer is easy. You grab your sister and strap on a pair of Formula One racecars then go for broke.

Aisha goes down memory lane in her old house where it all began decades ago. She discusses her history and how she got here, then began making plans with her leader Berna on how to settle some old scores
She ends the chapter purging all of the memories

It didn’t happen that year, though, and not for several more. I was still too terrified of the place, too worried that someone might shout “Boy in a dress! Billy Wells in a dress!”, so we left it and left it until I thought Mam and Dad had forgotten.

I never did. How on Earth could I?

For a moment I wasn't sure what was happening to me. It felt like I was dreaming a bizarre dream. A dream where I am the main person but also just a bystander. It was simply a paradox. Impossible. But the drama was unfolding in front of my eyes.

Students and teachers came running to the hallway so that they could figure out where the noises were coming from. Sammy and her friends arrived first. They looked confused and shocked when they saw a boy who was wearing a football jersey lying in front of the lockers, screaming in pain and holding his bloody face.

Katey and Jessica were sound asleep in bed when Katey’s cellphone starts ringing. She moans as she fumbles around on her nightstand for her cellphone. She finally finds it and pulls it down towards her.

“Hello?”

“Katey, we need for you and Jessica to get to the airfield as fast as you can. We have an emergency on our hands.”

Katey sits up in bed and shakes Jessica “okay, we're on our way.”

Jessica wakes up when she was shaken by Katey. She looks over towards Katey “why did you wake me up?”

Chaunter beckoned Waxwing over to her and asked quietly, looking across the cabin at Flame staring at naught, “How is she?”
Waxwing was the closest they had to a healer, she’d had the emergency healing training, but she was no more skilled to deal with Flame than the others. “She has fully recovert from the deepcaltth, but she is still too deeply shockt by the loss of Irune to be reacht yet. Perchance, Gosellyn or Campion could reach her but…” Waxwing’s words trailed off as she thought of Flame, the young woman who had only just reached agreement with her wife Irune on the voyage north and who had lost her love within a tenner. “Ceël keeps spaeking to her. Neither of us is sure how much contact is being maekt, but Ceël keeps spaeking of Irune’s children and how much they will need her. Her eyes flicker when she hears the names of the children, but that is the only sign of contact so far.”

Tizzy lets out a low moan as Ikaika enters in and out of her as he makes love to her. They finally had the house to themselves and Tizzy missed not having Ikaika make love to her. Lien was with her mother, along with the rest of the girls and Christine was checking out the safe house that Cheshire was going to let her have.

Jessie was sitting on Peyton’s shoulder watching the new people work out, under Larka’s instructions. The fellow named Baloo was having a hard time with the exercise. The elf lady Riveraka was having a hard time, but she was doing better than the Bearman. The one that uses to be named Bruce was now using the name Caspin.

2330 Hrs. ICU Room 606 Knoxville General Hospital, Knoxville, Tn.:
All the alarms at the nurse’s station start blaring. The nurses on duty rush towards Room 606 and when they enter, Kat is sitting up in bed and looking pissed and confused.

“Easy Mrs. Romano, you’re at Knoxville General Hospital.” Nurse Sunmer approaches Kat slowly.

“Why am I here and why does my chest hurt?” The last thing Kat remembers is walking out the back door of her office.

Judy walked into math class with less than ten seconds to spare. A few of the students stared as she sat down in her seat, which was close to the back without being in the same row as the usual troublemakers.

Marcy’s father and brothers came north for a visit and Marcy terrified of what would happen when they found out she is a girl is told by Pol to dress and look like a boy again and Pol masquerades as Marc’s girlfriend. Marcy’s mum goes along with it and despite the stress Marcy survives the ordeal.
