THE BIG TRIP UP is a book about a strange place called The Domain. And the story is sort of like that WHO KILLED ROGER RABBIT movie, because it is about characters who I don't think could ever be alive in a World that is REAL like this one, except these are puppets and not Toons, and also there aren't any regular human people in this book until the very end and then only one, and he is dead but then he is alive again...

“As much as I’d love to, I’m not sure either of us can lift the other, at the moment.“

A hint of sarcasm shone through Garrus’ humor.

“I'm afraid I’ve got to ask you to…“ he harrumphed “… step down.“

Here's part 3. I have read all of the comments and appreciate them very much. I think that I have a structuring problem to deal with that likely stems from my tendency to frame my narrative as if writing for film.

Bear with me, I'm trying to improve on delivery. Like I said in Ch. 1, I've never done this before but please keep the advise coming so that I can keep trying to improve my efforts.

This is a short chapter, but I didn't want to go any longer without updating. I promise that there is a plan in place for all of the floating mysteries, I'm not J.J. Abrams.

Alright. Longtime reader, first time poster. I think I started tuning in around the end of the Bush (the lesser) years. Here's the beginning of a pretty basic story that I think could be fun.

Garrus’ words broke the spell Drew seemed to have been in, and at first, he considered just saying something non-committal. But then everything in him broke and he huddled himself against Garrus, half leaning against, half holding onto him, and he started crying.

A costume pool party at the house of the most eligible bachelor in town attracts an introvert looking to change everything. By becoming a sea monster, a doll-like mermaid, and an orca, they go fishing for confidence and land a loving partner.

An experiment in looking no deeper than the mask, with a protagonist who tries never to think of themselves AS themselves. By definition TG since the suits are both male and female, but the direction is left for the reader to decide - or not.

Lupita checks on their guest before she goes back outside to chop some more wood. Black Wolf had left earlier to go see Fighting Hawk and his wife Running Brook. She bundles up as she grabs the ax and head outside. She starts splitting the logs as she wonders where the child came from. She knew from the memories of the elf’s mind she now inhabited. That it wasn’t uncommon for teenagers the child age to go in the world. However, normally, they have someone watching over them.
