The Other Half of My Soul, part 07 of 11

Taylor looked so worried and guilty that I had to give her a hug. “Come on. We can’t do anything until we talk to the Gray One, but for now, you need to relax. How about a game of — Tag! You’re it.”

The Other Half of My Soul, part 06 of 11

I know it’s bad manners to laugh at one’s own jokes, especially hoary old chestnuts like that, but Serenikha’s amusement poured through our link so strongly that I couldn’t suppress my giggles for more than a moment, and then we kept setting each other off.

The Other Half of My Soul, part 05 of 11

“I like being a nagini well enough, just on the physical level, but — well, I don’t know how other people in my country will react.... Even if people are getting used to seeing magical stuff happen, they might stare at me a lot.”

The Other Half of My Soul, part 04 of 11

The guards wouldn’t let the Knowing One in to the women’s quarters, though, until he transformed himself into a woman, or maybe put on an illusion of being a woman; I had a suspicion it was the latter, given how fast the change was effected and the way “she” walked.

The Other Half of My Soul, part 02 of 11

“Shall I go and turn him over to the guard? Or castrate him myself?”

“Take him somewhere else first,” one of the other women pleaded. “I can’t stand the sight of blood.”

The Other Half of My Soul, part 01 of 11

My psychic link with Serenikha had held steady all through high school, growing no stronger but no weaker, ever since my first trip to her world. I still shared dreams with her, and I still had occasional moments of aphasia, where I couldn’t think of a word in English, only in one of Serenikha’s languages. And then, my first semester in college, it suddenly seemed to get a lot weaker — I shared no dreams at all with her, and had much less aphasia than usual.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 18

I woke up without any pain.

My body was numb, not like I was drugged, but like what happens when you stay up too long and your body craves sleep. Slime encrusted my eyes, making it impossible to open them. From the cold, wet feeling, the slime covered my face, even opening my mouth didn't seem possible.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 17

Crier rested on my lap, almost humming with power. Mrs. Jones was still asleep on my bed, she must have stayed up most of the night. My hand barely hurt, although my fingers were stiff and my skin still cracked and bled if I moved it too quickly. It had been over two hours and Calandri still hadn’t come to see me, that had me worried yet happy. It had looked like she was ready to kill me just before the fight. I hadn’t gotten a look at her afterwards, so it was possible she had been mollified.

Not likely.

“I must thank you, Alex,” a deep voice said.

Lemuel stuck a twig into the fire and used it to light his pipe. "Well," he said, leaning back in his chair, "it being right 'round Hallerween, I 'spect you'll wants t'hear a story 'bout spooks and spirits."

"Yeah," Rafe said, his 11-year old eyes was wide. "A scary story."

Little Sarah scootched up against me and shivered. "But not too scary."

Shattered Glass 7

This is a work of fanfiction set in the Whateley universe. It doesn't follow canon, and I didn't create it in any way shape or form. I'm only playing in their sandbox.

Teri flew into Dr. Bellows office thirty minutes before class started. “Hey Doc, so as per your request, I met Ruth yesterday for our first tutoring session,” she said.

“Thank you Teri, how did it go?”

“I want a raise! She's a nice girl, but I had nightmares last night. How am I suppose to keep looking so beautiful if I can't get my beauty sleep.”

“We don't pay you,” he said.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 12

Good news, anyone who's read Tink over on Crystal Hall, there is new material here. Some of it's been posted already but I added on new parts, so be sure to read this.
And thanks to Elrod who helped me out a bit with Shine, really appreciated.
Finally, this is fanfiction, and Whateley, most characters and the setting was not created by me. I'm just playing in their sandbox.
Enjoy.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 11

Tuesday

Tink carefully thought about what to tell Mrs. Ryan about doing the fashion show. When she'd gone to class on Monday the old woman had told her that they simply didn't have time anymore. But after being refused by Venus Inc., hah, more like Venus Envy, she thought, had decided she was too strange to work with, she had to really do something special to get people interested in her much better fashion club. She'd show them, she'd SHOW THEM ALL!!!!

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 11

The next morning I was too excited to stay still. After getting dressed in the same golden dress, leaving Crier on the bed, the dance had no place for him, I went to the cafeteria and had to force myself to eat. I saw Sam briefly but he was following a wisp probably to prepare for his fight. I went to Mrs. Jones and listened as she nattered on about how happy she was that I was going to be dancing for the 'town'. I didn't have the heart to tell her that if I did well she might never see me again. Better to let her be happy a few more hours and then forget about me later.

South of Bikini 3: Episode 10- Proving Ground

Now that another Time Traveler is loose upon Earth’s fragile timeline, what will he change and could the Empress and her sisters be the first casualties? Can the wondrous Empress of Time and Space return history to the way it should be or will she need to ‘step back’ to re-evaluate her historic options here and in other universes?

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 10

The days went past strangely and quickly for me. Sometimes I'd be woken by Sam to be shown how things worked, or just to relax and talk. He never talked about his home, but he'd listen to me talk about my family and my old life. He introduced me to more of the humans, but most of them were lost in their own little worlds, or running errands and doing tasks for their masters, making it difficult to really know them.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 10

“I'm telling you, I didn't plan on eating sugar!” Teri said to Chief Delarose. “I've been framed! I had to search for an hour finding snacks that would help keep me filled up and had had the right amount of sugar the doc's recommended.”

“So what were you doing flying around the school with three students hanging from a net behind you, breaking holes in walls and causing mayhem, beyond what you usually do?” he asked.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 8

I was forced to wear the only outfit that wasn't skin tight, a brilliant blue sleek gown that showed too much cleavage and had a slit up to my thigh. I really hated my choice of clothing, even as it amazed me, every step made fluffy white clouds flow across the fabric making it look like I was wearing the sky. It looked so real I tried to touch them, only feeling sleek fabric and my body underneath. I stepped out to meet Sam, trying to ignore how much skin I was showing.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 7

Please note, I am the original author of this story. It was posted originally over on TG Storytime under the pen name A. Kent, I'm now attempting to finish it here. While I appreciate emails saying someone has stolen my work, in this case everything is kosher.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 8

On Saturday morning, Teri flew glumly to the table full of Whitman girls, holding her tray of so called breakfast that had been specially made just for her. A mouselike girl she didn't know very well, called Pepper, looked at the unflavoured porridge, buttered toast, a cut up apple, and a small cup of milk, and said, “My grandmother eats that for breakfast.”

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 6

I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. Calandri wasn't in the room with me, but I saw a set of clothes waiting for me at the foot of the bed, Crier was placed on top of them in a sheathe of gold. I put on the tight, red shorts that felt a lot like spandex but were more comfortable and a body hugging, sleeveless red top made of the same material. I didn't like the way they showed my body and my underwear, but Calandri had asked me to be pretty, and I didn't want to disappoint her.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 7

Dr. Hendricks, sat at his computer drinking straight from a bottle of something that was strong enough to strip paint, and had been made that morning by one of the newest devisors to enter the school. He would have been crying, except that there were no tears left in him. Wincing at his cut lip that despite being numbed by the alcohol, still hurt, along with the black eye and numerous bruises that covered his body, he thought about the day. He should have been in bed, he had to work in the morning, but he couldn't. The horror was still too intense.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 5

"There is emotional and minor physical abuse in this part. You've been warned."

Sam gave me a long, glittering yellow dress that flared out at the bottom to put on. “Where did you get this?” I asked, holding it up to my chest.

“Since I'm helping you I can get into your room. While you were unconscious I grabbed it. Your red skirt was burned so badly it was practically falling off,” he said.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 4

I walk towards what passes for the infirmary, my arm is bleeding, it's almost severed and none of the little magicks I've picked up will heal it. My thin ebony blade, Crier of Souls, is in my hand despite my wounds. I never know when a fae I've embarrassed or a fellow slave will want to get it's little bit of revenge seeing me in a moment of weakness. I shake my head to get the blood red hair out of my eyes, the greasy, sweaty bangs have to go. Maybe after I get my arm fixed I'll make Sin give me a haircut.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 6

Tink headed off for lunch after martial arts, not bothering with a shower since she hadn't done enough to work up a sweat. At Crystal Hall she met up with Page, Serena and a few other Whitman girls. They were all talking about their classes, which ranged from the common history, English and science; to the weird, magic, esper and quantum physics; to the holy cow they teach that at school! Which included firearms training and how to shoot a fire accurately at one hundred feet.

“You're not saying much for once Teri, what's up?” Page asked.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 5

“So did you get into trouble for this morning?” Thad asked, as they sat beside a big window in the library enjoying a bit of peace and quiet, his eyes looked almost exactly like the brilliant sun shining on them.

“Nah,” Teri answered, waving away the thought. “They mostly wanted to know what happened, and that I was alright. India on the other hand is in big trouble.”

He looked at her incredulously. “Her name is India?”

Also, when I first posted this chapter on Crystal Hall, I was asked why it was a Red Flag day with all the students arriving. In canon when Tennyo arrived, she mentioned how it was a red flag during orientation, so I'm going with it. It also makes some jokes possible.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 3

“Hey! I'm sitting here!” Teri, who was all of six inches tall, yelled at the enormous butt descending on her.

The woman let out a scream and hurried away, yelling that a doll had come alive. Teri just looked over at the little girl who was staring at her with wide eyed wonder, and said, “Some people just don't pay any attention do they, Michelle?”

“Nnnnooo!” the three year old said, her eyes still as big as saucers staring at the little fairy.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 2

Well I was going to do a bit where Teri went to a anime convention, and met up with an H1 mob but the humour seemed a little too rough and mean spirited for the story. So to heck with it, I'm keeping to like it was originally done. Enjoy.

Tink: A Strange Fairytale 1

Because I've had a bunch of people ask me to post this story since Crystal Hall where it was originally posted is down for the foreseeable future, here is Tink. And for those who've read it already, there is a new opening transformation that isn't as creepy, and in the next chapter is a whole new section of Tink's summer of fun as she meets H1 and goes to an anime convention. It's funny.

Slave of the Fae: Chapter 3

Blood and Fire

I looked at Sam, I couldn't believe that he had been a girl. He was huge, even bigger than my Phys ed teacher and he'd been in the NHL. With his dark black skin, buzz cut, brown eyes, hands that looked like they could crush a coconut and legs that were as big around as my waist, there was nothing feminine about him. Not even his dark blue shorts and open, short sleeved shirt looked remotely like what a girl would wear.

Never

This story is told more from the mothers perspective then the MtF teenager. Enjoy.

Nora and the Nomads, part 4 of 4

They put one last pan of cookies in the oven, and Nora concentrated for a few moments on the way she wanted them to look, feel and taste before pulling them out again. “All ready,” she announced after taking a bite of a snickerdoodle. “Let’s go.”

Nora and the Nomads, part 3 of 4

The minotaur in the petting zoo was an adorable toddler-calf, at least the last time Nora had seen him — not this creature out of nightmares. And at his side, there was something even more terrible, a vast maw full of fangs and slavering tongues with no body attached; it hovered along keeping pace with the minotaur and its prey. “This won’t do,” Nora said.

Nora and the Nomads, part 2 of 4

She was obviously acutely embarrassed by her nakedness, though none of the dream-people standing around her were taking any obvious notice of it. Nora took pity on her and said, pitching her voice to carry over the music: “Talrasia, have you noticed that you’re dreaming?” Then she turned her eyes respectfully away.

Nora and the Nomads, part 1 of 4

Nora had been terrified, in those first few days after the Divergence when everyone’s thoughts were leaking indiscriminately into everyone else’s, that everyone would treat her like a pariah once they knew about her.

South of Bikini 3: Episode 7- Rendezvous'

Sand Dollars’ next mission becomes personal for Alex- the result requiring the Empress to reveal herself. Some members of Alex’ crew finally realize their gifts and one in particular proves her metal on a special mission.

A Raid and a Rescue, part 3 of 3

I was nervous all night during my shift, but I tried not to let it show. Mierra probably thought the screaming from the interrogation rooms was getting to me, and it was; I was thinking it might be Themia.

A Raid and a Rescue, part 2 of 3

A couple of hours after Themia was captured, I felt the moon rise. I couldn’t see it in our windowless cell block, but that didn’t matter; I felt the possibilities of change through every part of my body.

A Raid and a Rescue, part 1 of 3

“Some kids have disappeared too,” Gerald said. “The news didn’t say, but I’ll bet a first-edition Monster Manual that they were playing ‘pretend.’ Same as we were, only without dice.”

South of Bikini 3: Episode 6- Paradoxes, Galas, and Gifts

With Capt. Steinert back in her own universe, a few more paradoxes are satisfied, but now, a difficult secret must be kept. Two more Atlantis-Minor personnel receive their gifts just before Admiral Demmit’s plane arrives. Will the Admiral need to requisition more aspirin or find something stronger?

Sixteen Feet of Steel Chapter 19

*Before….Gracia

Valhalla…

Named after the home of some of the lost gods or such.
The Capitol city of the High King and it’s built in these huge levels with like a star or a sun at the bottom and then it rises in huge, huge tiers and adorned with these fancy buildings all smooth and lit up and there’s the glitter of so much light and so much glass.
It looked like a fancy gigantic cake.
I…it…was headed for the palace…the castle called Whitehall…and I barely got a look besides it being huge almost a small city with towers and tall buildings all of its own before I crashed into a fancy garden with flowers and trees that looked decorative and in the end a gazebo of fine wood.
The soldiers came running with fancy spears and some with swords and some with crossbows and I remember seeing a man with a very nice uniform on like the others but with the best embroidery I’ve ever seen and he loomed over me with a dagger at the ready.
“Who are you girl and what sorcery be this!?”
“Gracia…Princess Gracia Lyonnes…my father…my…The Lion has fallen…”
It’s all I could get out.
This man his expression changed to shock then concern and things faded to black as I hear him yelling though he seems far away.
“Get the knight captain! Fetch a healer!”
And that was how I'm here, crying...so very far from home.

*And Now…
