Chapter 22 - The Other 90%

This might be a good place to stop and talk about the 90% of my life that isn't directly connected with being transgendered. Of course, since this in a memoir of my life as a transgendered woman, it isn't surprising that that's what I've been writing about.

The 2nd court case is completed and Bab's is out of danger. Olivia, Angela and Erica leave for Amsterdam to be witnesses in the Dutch trial while Lola at long last goes into hospital for her GRS.

Once off the bus Mark snuck to his house as good as he could. Hiding behind bushes and hedges whenever he spotted someone. He really didn’t want to run in any of his neighbours with this big pink shopping bag. It would mean nothing but trouble since he realised full well that he wasn’t actually loved around here after all his vandalism.

Maggie, at first miffed that a man was doing so damn well as a feminist, eventually began to relent. Julie and I decided she needed to know the whole story, so one evening in an unused library room we took her into our confidence.

“Do you want to tell me what happened?”

 

“I don’t know,” Davey said. “Are you going to believe me? Mom and Dad didn’t.”

 

“I promise I’ll listen,” Dr. Menendez said.

Chapter 51 – The flogging

By noon Jason had a plan. He hoped that it wouldn’t embarrass the captain, and he knew it wouldn’t subject an innocent seaman to the lash. He arrived on deck and found that the seaman was already lashed to the whipping post, and a big steersman was holding a whip.

“Shall we carry on?” asked Samantha after a particularly long kiss.
“Or do you want to sit here kissing all day?”

“Oh... that is a difficult choice, but upon reflection, please carry on. I want to see what more surprises you have for me,” replied a very happy Phoebe.

Once back on the road, a very determined Samantha took control of the car. She had a definite purpose in her attitude now that the weight of telling Phoebe about herself had been lifted.

Phoebe sat back and let Samantha drive. She clearly knew where she was going. Once they reached the small business park in Ford, she stopped outside one of the many identical units on the site. A sign on the wall said ‘Schwartz Brothers, Props and Theatrical Costumiers’.

We got settled in Julie's room and she cleared a couple of drawers for my clothes. She surprised me with a pair of matching nightgowns for us to wear and then dragged me downstairs to talk with her mother.

"Connie," she started. "I don't want to embarrass you, but I have a little present for you."

"How could getting a present embarrass me?"

 

Chapter 16 - The Bus Ride

Well-worn patterns of behaviour carried me out of Julie's room, down the stairs and out the door of the dorm, I had done it dozens, no, hundreds of times before. Down the short flight of steps at the entrance and on to the sidewalk. By the time I reached the old oak near the corner of the road I suddenly realized I was walking across the familiar campus in my skirt! Connie was free and out in the world.

But, as we're here, in this land that started from the Kingdom of Albion, its banishment from Hulkegunia was clearly not the end. In fact, it was its beginning, having only had its first royal family. But, now, it was free of neighboring kingdoms, and could expand as far as it wanted, led by the great gunsmith, King Malleus Alvarez.

Malleus was the best gunsmith in the Hulkegunian Empire, which, given that magi-technological long-range weaponry was the foundation of that nation, meant he was the best magi-technologist they had, as well, although chronically overworked.

"You weren't saying that the first time your breast ended up in my hand. As I recall, you were saying something rather salacious."

Chapter 50 – the Challenge

Jason stared at the muscular chest of the 42-year-old man facing him on the deck. Both were naked to the waist, but the boy had the chest of a child, while the master had the muscles of a man who had spent over 35 years hauling lines and hoisting sales. This might not be a good thing, Jason thought. A knife fight would have been fairer, with Jason able to go into battle mode, but the rules of the contest were bare fists.
