The Absolution was dead silent. It had been silent since that fateful September day back in 2008 when Toonami was shut down. There was a brief moment when TOM almost came back to life, but that was a while ago. The people responsible for that increase in the robot’s brain activity were startled when they saw what occurred because of the April fool’s joke.

Asuna woke up to her alarm and sleepily grabbed her shower stuff and headed off to the bathroom. She waved to Linda as she went by and yawned, “Morning, I’ll be downstairs soon as I shower and dress.”

Asuna was just finished cleaning up all the glass on the floor when the doorbell rang, “Who could that be? Do you think somebody heard the glass shatter and called an ambulance or something?”

“I hope not,” Linda said. “I’ll go answer the door, you keep an eye on Kim.”

This is a fan fic for Lilith Langtree's Comics Retcon Universe. As fan fic I have not asked permission from Lilith. There is no planned interaction between this and characters in Lillith's universe. It is I hope, a story of pain and redemption. I hope that it gives someone some entertainment. It is my first publication and written on an iPad by someone who has long forgotten their HTML. Heather quickly sat upright in her bed, panting heavily. She was completely drenched in sweat from head to toe. The amulet beneath her night dress was glowing brighter than ever, pulsing and pounding like a beating heart against her chest. She placed her hand on her chest as she tried to catch up with her breath. For a moment she thought she was hyperventilating. Then, she thought she was dying.

This is a fan fiction set in the Firefly/Serenity universe created by Joss Whedon. It takes place after the events in the television series and the companion motion picture that followed, and is also the second part of a sequel to Firefly: Double Booked, which was in turn a sequel to Firefly: Connecting Flight. This means it has SPOILERS, folks, and major ones at that. So please don't read this unless you get the chance to see the series and the movie -- and read my first two Firefly stories.
