The Accidental Soprano
A Short Story
By Maryanne Peters
They said that I was fortunate that the injury did not cause lasting damage, but that was before it changed my life. I am not bitter towards the surgeons that repaired my neck. I have used surgeons since, and I am grateful to them. Surgeons have to do what they do to let us live, or to normal lives.
In this chapter, Emily navigates a week filled with challenges, moments of quiet reflection, and glimpses of connection. As she begins to find her footing in the small routines and relationships that shape her days, an unexpected turn of events forces her to confront emotions she had been holding at bay. Through it all, the steadfast support of those around her offers a glimmer of hope amidst the storm.
Lanie Saunders wants nothing more than to go to The Eras Tour, the person who is supposed to accompany her, her big brother, who is home from grad school for the summer, doesn't want to go. Alex is worried someone from high school will recognize him, and to him, there's nothing more embarrassing than being seen at a Taylor Swift concert. But Lanie has an idea: what if she casts a spell that will disguise Alex? Alex thinks the idea is silly, because magic isn't real, but he's about to get an up close and personal lesson at just how real it is -- and how magical a night at a Taylor Swift concert can be.

AUTHOR'S NOTES:
When I posted my first long TG story on here, I did not think it would be eight years before I posted another one. But here I finally am, with a story I started writing about a year ago, then tinkered with a lot over the past year. Unlike my last big story, this one focuses a lot more on the person who triggers the transformation, rather than the person who gets transformed. It also involves identity death for the person who gets transformed, so if that's not your thing, feel free to skip this one. And for those who've read "My Shallow Regret," you'll notice this story uses names that are very close to that one -- there's no connection between the characters, I just like using the names.
Also, shoutout to anyone who can use the small clues I tucked into the story to figure out where the main characters live.
If healing meant changing genders and also species, would you? And how about protecting this new found technology? This gender-bending sci-fi tale takes you to strange worlds as those transformed protect their new people from destructive humans.
I looked at Mom, not believing what was happening. it was less than twenty four hours ago that the issue had been brought up for the first time.
“Which one is your daughter?” Arika asked, walking toward us. Mom looked at the three of us.
“The one in the blue and white plaid skirt.” Mom said.
Arika smiled at me and patted the chair where I would be sitting when I would get tortured by two little sharp pointy objects. Arika opened a drawer and pulled out a plastic container that had each of what the piercing ear rings looked like and handed it to mom who was standing next to me.
This is chapter 4 of a Smoking Fetish / TG fiction story. Hank has agreed to go on vacation as a girl. Problem is that Hank doesn't want to look like a teenage girl. He wants to look like a woman his mom's age. He gets Parental Permission to do so. How does he react to the new look? How does his family react?
Eighteen days ago, Steven Brooks violated his parents’ trust and snuck a peek at his Christmas presents. Instead of having his new Nintendo Wii taken away, he made a deal with his parents to dress and live as a well-mannered girl until school started up again. Due to a problem at school, Steven will have to be Stephanie for twenty more days. Last episode, Stephanie had a horrible introduction to the boy she’ll be dancing with at her cousin’s wedding, so she decided to try to grow breasts to get back at him. In this episode, some impracticalities of Stephanie's wardrobe are corrected, winter weather comes to town, and some social plans are made.
The next day, after a fitful sleep I called in at the police station with Tom. I gave a statement as I remembered things and asked some awkward questions.
This tale is complete in Six Chapters which will be posted at approximately weekly intervals
This, the fourth chapter, is entitled
~ The Gift of Remembrance ~
Readers should be aware that this is primarily a Ghost Story.
The TV/TG element is crucial to the plot but occupies a comparatively minor part of the text.
Those wishing to absorb a little of the ambience prior to reading should visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW4ThXetHkI&NR=1 and hear Helen Shapiro sing the last verse and refrain of the song that runs like a thread throughout the tale.
This is the third installment of Parental Permission. Start with chapter 01. First and foremost, this is a Smoking Fetish / TG fiction story. It's about Hank, a teenage boy who gets caught smoking by his parents. This is the story of him getting parental permission to do the things he's always wanted to do but didn't have the guts to do on his own. It's a personal adventure story.
The train trip continues. A VIP calls Joanie's private cell, providing her with multiple thrills. Joanie glimpses motherhood, in more than one way, her reaction surprises her. Suzy and Joanie have a happy homecoming, Joanie’s tusch stops traffic. Joanie travels to Iowa, gives Eric an ultimatum, “Now get those clothes off, and you’d better be up for it.”
Andy Warhol said, "In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes." What if your 15 minutes came late in life, and fame decided to never let you go? Could you survive the circus your life would become?

<In the Get Smart television series, CONTROL agent Charlie Watkins was a master of female disguise. Played by actress Angelique Pettyjohn, she/he was a sexy, gorgeous undercover spy. Maxwell Smart found blonde bombshell Charlie, much to his chagrin, disconcertingly attractive. Written a few years ago, an updated And Loving It! is presented on Big Closet in honor of the Get Smart film release.>
After his mother dies the only option Kris has is to take his kid sisters to grandma's house. But Massachusetts to Maryland is a long way to travel on only $50. How will they make it, will grandma be able to keep them and what kind of life can they expect?
This is a story I did a few years ago and posted on Sapphire's. It's an attempt at Science Fiction and Adventure. At the time I wrote it, I had never read any of the Gor books. Now that I have, I'm surprised at some of the similarities.
The story is about Bill, who, through a travesty of justice gets involved with a dying boy. With the help of the boy's late uncle's writings, Bill is pulled into a strange, savage world.
