My computer sent me to this page on the cloud when I tried to open up one page to work on my latest story. Maybe some one here can explain how it happened. I just turn on the computer and type. I have no idea why it does some of the things it does. This seems to be all there is of this page.

Chapter 16 – Auctions and actions

Filas looked Kim in the eyes. Kim looked Filas in the eyes. Then, at the same moment, they approached each other with a few, large steps and embraced each other in a close hug, the first one they’d ever shared. The first time they were physically close. The first time they got to smell each other’s odour. And that in one of the most unlikely places and at the potentially most unlikely time.

“Umm”, the man who had addressed Filas before dragged them back into reality way too soon, “whatever you two are doing there, you should continue once we’re out of here…”

Chapter 15 – The accident

Darryl and Grey worked for several hours making their feast. It was to be a two parter: first a lunch, and then a dinner. Daisy supervised, since no one else was in the house and Rabbit insisted on being in the kitchen with the boys.

Tonya shivers as a cold breeze blows by her. She was standing out on the balcony looking out towards the woods that surrounded the log cabin home. She places her petite hand on her swollen belly as she feels the babies she was carrying move.

She never thought her life would take her down this path. She never thought she would be able to have babies or that she would be the breeder of a pride of cats. She winces as one of the babies she was carrying kicks her kidney.

“Ow!” Tonya rubs the spot where she just got kicked.

I was stunned by what Barbara had just said about becoming a sperm donor.

“Say something even if it is ‘No’?”

“I never even considered having another child.”

“Well, and thanks to the bracelets, we are going to have a new start in life, aren’t we?”

“This is a big… A big surprise.”

She laughed.

“And?” I asked.

“I don’t know.”

“Class,” our teacher’s voice somehow managed to break through the chaos and anarchy that is an elementary school classroom the day before Christmas vacation. “Before we begin, I’d like to announce our new transfer student, Gabriel Morris.”

The rest of the room started up in hushed whispers, and even I couldn’t help it.

“Who moves at this time of year?” I had asked the question quietly and rhetorically, only to get an answer back anyway.

“Seriously?”

Webster’s dictionary defines Speed as the fallowing: the rate of change of position along a straight line with respect to time over a set distance. In other words, the quicker you can get from one place to another. The question is what do you, do when your family has spent the last two generations in search of ways to accomplish this goal faster and faster. Would do you do when the family business is the search for more Speed. For Robert ‘Robby’ McGuire the answer is easy. You grab your sister and strap on a pair of Formula One racecars then go for broke.
