There have been a lot of stories that tell how boys learn to become better people by being sent to a "special" school. There are some things about those kinds of stories I didn't like much, so I decided to create my own version of this particular sub-genre. Enjoy!

Chapter 21 — Welcome to the Festival Scene

On Moroth morning Darla woke along with all the friends at about 06:00BN, and soon joined in the hustle and bustle of people getting dressed, having drinks, and just generally making sure the house was ready to be left again maybe, for quite a while.
The twins spread the dust sheets over the furniture whilst the rest of the group was making sure that the house was clean and tidy.

Retired and independently wealthy, 60 year old Stan Berman discovered he had only 12-18 months to live due to a rare neurological syndrome that would sap his strength and motor skills, but the symptoms would not onset for at least a year. This is an audio book version of my story, Shoes. The story is about a teenage boy who's trying his best to understand some major life changes his younger sibling is going through. (Note: If you ever wondered what I sound like, here's your chance. ^.~)

This is a continuation of the story, Shoes. It's being told from the viewpoint of Brianna's brother, Carl. This story starts in the small hours of the morning after he had a long talk with Brianna about her being a girl. He's still trying to work though things, and finally decides to contact an old friend ...

This is my longest chapter yet and I have to say I thoroughly loved writing this chapter It was sweet, sad, fun, sentimental, and has lots of giggles. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it=)

All right, first things first. There is NO TG or CG content in this. It's bloody, dark, and rather unpleasant. It's also important in setting the stage in the latter stages of the Tale of Jet and Quartz, and adds a great deal of depth to one of the major characters in that tale. If it looks like this is going to bother you, then skip this, and spare me the angry e-mails. You have been warned.

This is actually the first part of a longer story that has long since bitten the dust. I don't know if I will write more about this character or if s/he will appear in other stories. Today whilst browsing through my unfinished work I realised that this actually works as a stand alone story and doesn't need the rest to work.
