"I don't see why not," Shamus said. "We isn't exactly swamped with customers right now. Sit yuirself down someplace, and I'll be sending her over to ye."

Echoes

Joan is offered and accepts the job to paint the Ryan Inn. A new confidence builds within her as her life finally starts coming together

The family attends cousin Melissa's wedding. Joan receives an exciting new job offer. The whole family somehow becomes involved in the decision making process.

What is with Sandy? Sandy seems none too thrilled with Em at the moment. Is it justified? Will Em survive what is happening between them?

Rhod/Em is trying hard to keep from being found out by Rachael, the ballet dance instructor. Rachael is still wondering why Em can't do the moves most women can easly do. Will she find out about Em?

Em is also worried about her date with a boy later in the day. How will she cope with that? She didn't want to go out on this date in the first place, which Mary is pushing her to be beautiful and sexy for.

A long while ago, I was thinking about what my life might be like if I started living as a female. I wondered how others might react. Would I find the people in my life being supportive of my decision? Would I stand alone? These and similar questions constantly haunted me.

During that time, I had composed several songs; this is one of them. Actually, I envisioned this as more of a music video. I lost my original copy and had to rewrite it, adding bits here and there. For the most part, the three parts of this song at the end are as I had originally written them.

Carrie’s Journey to Femininity

Chapter 1 The Encounter

Her tale is not a new one. The idea that she would grow up loving makeup and dresses instead football and jerseys is as much a mystery to her as to you the reader. It wasn't an accident that she was drawn satin and bows but a gradual evolution.

        Christina lay in bed on her side with her arm around a pillow. She hadn't checked what time it was, but judging by the sunlight, she expected it was past noon. Her mind was so seized with despair and worry that she'd slept only a few fitful hours since Andrei and left her at her bedroom door last night. Her hand was numb from clutching her gear necklace. She'd been holding it so tightly and for so long that the teeth had cut grooves into her palm.

Chapters 6 through 8.

Now that Miriam knows the truth, can he better cope with what's happening? Or is a breakdown unavoidable?
Some questions are answered, while some new ones are asked... oh, yeah, and barbecue!

“Oh, Sandy? Well she is different. Oh sh … I mean ah … she told me she wanted nothing to do with boys … uh … until after she … uh …is done with school.” Mrs. J stuttered, then realizing what she said, I noticed she had some regret about what she had said. “That didn’t sound very good, did it?”

“No it didn’t Mary, that sounded horrible actually. What’s so different about Sandy? Why can’t she date boys? Is it her, or you and your husband, that don’t want her to date boys?”

An odd chain of events and a gold necklace links a teenage boy and a young girl. Will either of them have the courage to follow the advice of an old man by breaking the chain, and what kind of trap is the man warning about?
