The Squad: Chapter 7

by
Leila

We sit waiting for word from the doctors. Hours go by. Mom and Dad huddle on the couch. I curl up on my side on the other couch. Mom and Dad have offered to take me home. None of us really wants to leave. I’ve stopped watching the clock hours ago. It only made me more agitated. I can’t concentrate. I don’t have my books or my backpack. I have nothing to do but sit in silence.

Shadowsblade: Dead ringer part 4

Shadowsblade a Whateley Tale: Written by Shadowsblade
Created for war and forged in pain, dealing with demons within and
without.

In this chapter...We find out what happened to Rohanna and we find out how she is helped by her friends with the new twin.

To all my readers, thanks for your posts. I do read each one and some of the ones posted recently, they added to my ideas on where to go in long term plot ideas! So keep posting and thinking out there!

The true story of Selene

OK so this year’s cold virus was a bit more stubborn than I anticipated so instead of the next chapter of Selene (don’t worry it will happen sometime) I’m instead going to bore you with stuff that might have come out of the fictional stories on this site, but which actually happened. This for two reasons, 1) I don’t want to post nothing for so long and 2) I need to get this stuff off my chest to someone else than my therapist. Again this stuff actually happened so it might either be amusing or completely dull, regardless it had a big impact on me.

Home Is Where The Heart Is: Part 5

Here is the next part of Seanna's story. She finds herself in a bit of a predicament, yet stands strong. I hope that you all enjoy it.

The cautions for this part are mostly not due to events occurring at this time in the story, but events that had already happened. The one exception is the caution for violence, as there is a bit of that in this part of the story.

The Squad: Chapter 6

by
Leila

I dived for the trash can and I vomited into it. I was on my knees, my eyes closed, the acrid, sour smell rose from the can. I convulse again as Dr. Corning opens her door and yells out to bring the nurse. I feel a hand on my back rubbing in a circular motion. She’s trying to soothe me as I break into a cold sweat. I wretch again filling the trash can. She’s resumes rubbing my back softly. I hear the rush of footsteps towards me getting louder. I moan as I begin to cry. “It’s going to be okay.” Dr. Corning says softly. “You’re going to be okay. You don’t have to do any of that anymore. I’ll make sure you won’t have any more interaction with the cheerleading squad or the coaches.”

Home Is Where The Heart Is: Part 4

Here is the next part of Seanna's story. Seanna's life is beginning to change for the better. I hope you all enjoy the story.

**********

Seanna sat in the front passenger seat of her car, fuming at the thought that anyone would dare to take Leilani from her. What made this even odder was the fact that they had no need to involve Child Services, as they could provide for Leilani quite well thanks to the fact that the various divisions that were part of Ramsay Enterprises all brought in at least modest profits, even the rental housing unit division.

Chapter Eleven: It is Done

Amber chapters 1 and 2

Chapter 1

Amber checked her reflection in the full length mirror; her pale light freckled skin showing off her Scottish roots her mid back length thick red hair shimmered in the light of the room. Her green eyes popped with the black eyeliner. She had to use brown eye shadow because she needed to put in her blue contacts.

Roomies - Part 3

I always gave all the credit to Tina. It was her world, her story and her imagination. I just put a tiny little Prince-like glyph which was a convoluted graphic jumble of my last name. I remained blissfully anonymous, but eventually Tina mentioned to some fan that she didn't do the art.

The buzz over the 'mystery artist' snowballed the more I tried to protect my privacy. I enjoyed being an enigma. Who I was in people's imaginations seemed much more interesting than my rather mundane real life.

Harmony

The icy chill in the air tested the limits of her resolve. Where was he? She shivered along with everyone else on the roof of their apartment building ready to watch the fireworks display to ring in the new year. Did he change his mind? Harmony stood there, her wool coat pressed against her skin trying in vain to keep her warm.

Secondhand Life - Part 48

Michael and I were just unpacking when my phone rang.

I was not surprised that it was Dennis. “Katherine needs a favor.”

“So what else is new?” I laughed. “Does it involve being auctioned off? Parading half naked in front of an auditorium full of people – and network TV cameras? Recording an album under her name?” I was joking, but Dennis' demeanor became even more shy and uncertain.

“Uh. This is kind of a lot more.”

A Summer's Odyssey IV Chapter 10

A Summer's Odyssey IV
Chapter 10

After school on January 15 Krista and Tony checked the CWP Facebook site. Krista did so to make sure Tony didn’t hype her heroics. She had nothing against posting the truth, but Tony, proud to be her boyfriend, had a tendency to boast about her exploits. Ever since she’d saved his mother and he from his hostile dad, he’d understood that she was naturally cool and calm in times of crisis and felt honored to be her boyfriend. By building her up he was unconsciously building himself up, a strange but honest braggadociosity. That day they found an almost pleading private message from a distraught parent.

Chapter Ten: Proving the Point

Elsewhere, Otherwhen, Somehow: Chapter 2

Theona slowly returned to the world, waiting a short time before she attempted to sit up.

She noticed the man was leaning toward her, almost as if to help her to rise. She looked at him more closely, and soon realized that he was positively huge compared to her. At a guess, she thought he might be 8 feet tall, weighing somewhere between 350 and 400 pounds.

Then she realized that he was speaking to her again. "Lass, are ye well? Ye swooned for a bit!"

Murder in the Holy City - Part 1

“Somebody turn that damn thing off!”

There was of course no response from the empty space and the offending mechanism sat across the room purposely out of reach, continuing its klaxon-like bleating.

Charlotte rolled out of bed and strode over to the phone, not caring that she was unclothed. If whoever was on the other end happened to be offended by the sight of her nudity they could go attempt sexual acts not possible for the greater majority of the male of the species.

All Was Well

I heard the bells on Christmas Day,
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet,
The words repeat,
Of peace on Earth, goodwill toward men!

“I’m telling you, Callie, it isn’t a big deal.”

“Are you kidding me, Justine?” My roommate was ecstatic as we trudged up the stairs to our dormitory after a long walk in the winter’s cold.

“You’ve been named prima ballerina! That’s kind of a huge deal!”

Lady of Stars and Flame Prophecy for Elsewhere, Otherwhen, Somehow (WIP)

Seventh daughter of a seventh daughter,
She, Theona, shall hold the worlds in her hands.
She wields power such as none have seen,
And the justice of the lands is hers to give.

A Lord of the Mar'vath walks beside her,
She wields balls of fire and swords of ice
In battle against her many foes.

Three ettins storm 'cross the Four Great Lands,
Sow hate, despair and terror as they go.
Theona, Mak'Ris the cat and an elfin lady
Stand strong as day turns to darkest night.

Elsewhere, Otherwhen, Somehow: Chapter 1

Theo, short for Theophilus, Brendovin, stood on the edge of a gorgeous valley in the Appalachian range, soaking in the view. It was a beautiful, if slightly nippy, mid-spring afternoon, mostly clear blue skies with a cloud floating by now and then.

Theo was 5'11, 165 lbs., 19 years old, with strawberry blond hair just touching the tops of his shoulders. He had been born on Midsummer's Eve almost twenty years before, and lived with his mother; Daddy went MIA on his second army tour in Iraq three years ago.
