Becky continues her narrative of her life, constantly weighing the cost of being who she is.

I'm back in my office fighting tears. I want to know who the complainer is but know it's best I do not. If I knew I would run to her, tell her I too know fear, or at least I did. I was able to escape mine, suppressed it for decades while I receiving daily doses of testosterone against my will, becoming a man. Except I feel fear again now sometimes when I walk alone in the dark from Metro to my car. I no longer feel I could defend myself against an attack.

An exploration of how the world might be different if people with powers had suddenly begun appearing in 1919.

This was inspired by a RPG I was in. I played Aaron, and because of various things missed the last two sessions. I felt there was still a lot of story to tell, at least for him.

So, the big boss was defeated years ago. The other major characters died, or retired, or literally left the planet. What happens to the world, and the few empowered still around from that era?

Ouch, the things you learn from your kids! I suppose every parent goes through this sort of thing, but being able to talk with your now adult children reveals some interesting things you were not aware of when they were growing up. Specifically, I gained some insights into the age old question "Do we tell the kids?" I have a message for all you closeted crossdressers with children: you don't have to tell them, they already know.

"I heard what you said!" I put the back of my hand to my forehead. It was less dirty.

"Look in case you have forgotten I have er..plumbing issues." well it wasn't like I could come out and say I was a guy. Though why nobody seemed to see that was a puzzle. Once again thanks go to Elrod who looked over this story. My editor sent him a draft also. Thanks go to my editor Ibi who spent a lot of time on this and helped me define Jenny and her new found abilities. Which is one of the reasons this part has taken so long to write.

Michael Stephenson III's world would no longer be seen in the same light after his hasty arrival into Bikini Beach's small first aid station. His life changed as with many others outside the water park and its sprawling establishment with his placement in a makeshift bath.

Tanstaafl. Sounds like a sneeze or something vaguely Russian. The meaning of the word is best shown in a story retold freely from the writing of Robert A. Heinlein, the inventor of the water bed and the coiner of the word. Seems a young man, newly hired as a traveling salesman, was passing through a new town about lunchtime. Stopping at a likely looking taproom, he enters to find a large sign stating: "FREE LUNCH WITH YOUR DRINK!"

Hey wow, me on the television!

It all started when I got a call from someone with the Sally Opra Donahue Show. Their schedule said it was time to put a crossdresser on exhibit and they wondered if I was interested. Someone down there had been reading my columns, it seems. I patiently explained that I was known as the Bearded Lady for good reason, I had a full, dark, bushy beard and was unlikely to be seen as a woman. The only response was "Hey - kinky. That's great! The audience will love it."

I have been reading TV literature for about twenty years now, and one thing I have noticed is that there seems to be an aversion to speaking about bodily functions. (No, I will not descend to the level of toilet humor, thank you. For that you can watch cable TV.) This always seemed to me rather odd, as we put so much effort into changing our bodies. Way back when, when I was experimenting with creating a more feminine figure, I would have loved advice on how to do it, but such intimate details were not available.

Betsy Epilogue

It's hard to believe its been almost a year since I first made Tyler and Jillian switch places. A lot has happened since then. 10 years ago I had a husband, a son and a daughter and I was happy.
