I stayed in school that day, having missed one of my classes, my dad picked me up shortly after school ended.

We stayed home that evening, ordered in pizza, and watched a couple of movies. I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the movies, I don't even remember which ones they were, but several times, seeing a woman that looked vaguely like mom caused me to burst into tears.

Playing her way 2 - Chapter 8

The first stop of the tour was the library, which was close to the reception. A number of girls were quietly working at tables set up in the centre of the room. Along one side of the room, and on a mezzanine level above, stood bookshelves filled with books. A number of computer workstations were down another wall. One side of the double height room was glass. The final wall being the one to the corridor and reception area.

Sandra "Diamondback" Carter would be a fairly normal girl, had she not been born both male, and human. Turning into a mutant and developing massive GSD has flipped her world upside down, and even at Whateley Academy, she deals with constant reminders that she's freakier than the freaks. But it's another day in the life of a budding mystic with a few good, but odd, friends.
