I threw the copy of the marriage license at him, which in reflection was stupid because it wasn't tied down with a large piece of marble, and it wound up flittering away until it landed beside him. When John Philips goes to college it is the single biggest achievement of his life. Orphaned at a young age he is managing to pay the expensive college fees with the help of an aged benefactor. He moves into a house off campus which he is sharing with three beautiful young women with whome he gets along famously. Studying hard to make a future career for himself and having secured top grades in his first semester everything seems to be going amazingly well, however as fate would have it John's benefactor dies intestate after just his first semester. With no funds coming in the college tells John it will grant him a small bursary for his fees due to his high grades but that he will have to find a means of keeping and feeding himself. In the middle of a recession and with no money John turns to his friends and house mates Susan, Pamela, and Cindy for help. At first he baulks at their novel idea for him to earn some money which would involve him working as a girl but eventually gives in as he has no other choice and this sets him on a road to self discovery he never would have dreamed of taking.....

A smile came to my face, though a frown poured on Nathan's. I took my hand. Put my palm to his chin and raised it and said "turn that frown upside down hun, I have something that will brighten that mood of yours!"

"What can..." replied Nathan before I cut him off.

"I am a witch!"

Deirdre watched Mina and Riddler move to commit what quiet mayhem they could manage while trying to ignore the muttering Anthalas was doing to enable the spell in support of Riddler’s mission to wet all the powder for the cannon on the walls of Leslie Castle to happen without the thief returning for refills on the water bag he carried.

On extended summer breaks, Anna and Paul find themselves in for some surprises when they meet in a coffee shop.

He walked into the parlour and said, "What do you think?"

Shelagh turned from the range and was just able to stop herself screaming. There's a man in my cottage! Then her brain caught up with her senses. Of course there is, silly. The porridge spoon had clattered onto the range, and she picked it up and put it back into the pot. She looked at Colin, still shocked. He took one look at her startled face and took a step back.

 
I left the house and began walking toward Rachel's house. Ten minutes later, I was on her front porch getting ready to press the button on the doorbell. It opened suddenly and there stood Rachel with a look of excitement on her face. I made a mental note to myself not to let her have any sugar. The way she was wound up, she would have gone into orbit with very little effort. She asked me if I wanted something to drink and I ask her if she had anything diet. She got us both a drink and we walked upstairs to her room.

"I have to confess I cursed you all the way from Ullapool. It wasn't very gentlemanly of me, especially considering all you've done since. Perhaps we can start by using each other's first names. Would that be all right with you?"

"I - I suppose so," Shelagh said, somewhat hesitantly. Inside, part of her wanted to run, to bang the door shut and barricade it with furniture. Men had not treated her kindly when she was younger, and now she had a man in her house for possibly some time to come. She had every reason for mistrusting the male gender, and yet this one was different.
