While hunting for more chapters for another story, I came across this short piece written by Teddi and concerning her AFS volume 01.

I found it to be of interest and hope you will also as it explains just a little of the strange thinking which sometimes goes on in strategic planning.

I was rehearsing the words in my mind as I walked in. Supermarkets were so different now to what they had been when I was younger, so many more things to buy, so many more to dream of. I had been through the big Asda store with the lies, and now it was time for Tesco. Pretty…there were dresses and tops, skirts and shoes, boots and bags, and unless I could gather the courage I would walk out lacking them all.

Chapter 51 A family chat

I didn’t say anything else for a while and soon as I stared out of the bus window I saw that we were approaching our destination.

Neither of us seemed to want to ask the next question but eventually as we reached Grans’ front door I turned to mum.

‘Mum my dad is my real dad isn’t he?’ She paused to search for the door key and passed it to me to unlock the door.

‘Yes dear he is. I realized today that you knew. Did he tell you when you met him’

The day Samantha caught the train (part four the end.)

As Samantha walked in to the dinning room there in front of her were the twenty boys and girls that were at the party. All the children were dressed in what they were wearing for the party. All the children including Samantha were told to sit down at the places that were marked for them.

Synopsis:They say that New Years is a time for a fresh start, a new time in people’s lives, a time for new experiences. That whole new experiences thing took on a whole new meaning a few years ago at a New Years party I will never forget.

CHAPTER 91
It had to be a big do, of course, but nowhere near as big as I was frightened of. What stunned me was the sheer number of people I was now thinking of as essential to my life, and that was thrown into greater relief by the close shave I had passed through before Ginny had moved in.

I sat on my bed, while I was thinking through my whole weird situation. Finally all the tranquilizers they'd pumped up my veins last night finally slowly wore off, but still remained active enough to not let me completely freak out again.

We had to wind down in the end, and separate, with fierce hugs and promises to be home more often, and that word suddenly rang true to me. Home had become a simple concept: wherever I was with Eric, that was my home. Our house in Surrey, a tent at Shrewsbury, they were all I had believed I needed.
