I’ve been right back to my busy schedule and training but really as much as breaking it off with Patrick had hurt me the shore leave on Durandal had me happy for a few days. It was one of those fun girl things that you feel when you’re like the way I was…I got to really have part of the fantasy girl life thing.

Shopping and touring and food with cute men that are into you and other languages.

And I’m not the only one that loved it.

Chapter 16

The singing bunch of new people…friends and Nikki showing up and the fact that I got the part even thought it’s kind of sort of a cover has me pretty pumped up and excited and then there’s the kissing.

And it’s a real kiss.

It’s a real me getting kissed as a girl kiss and while I’ve been kissed a few times really, really good as Dale this is sooooo different.

I can feel her lips so soft in mine. And mine are girl soft too and sensitive and then there’s this sensual slide of lipstick on lipstick and that send shivers through me and then it’s just better.

Pulse hammering, hands needing to touch her, wanting more and more of this and leaning into it and just sort of melting.

It’s all sort of busy after we’re done talking to Victory. Avery and I get the other kids to call out to their folks and stuff and which doesn’t take too long really since Drew’s not really that talkative to their folks and there seems to be something going on there with like tension and stuff and Cody well he’s pretty much just telling his dad that he’ll tell him later and stuff since his dad works here and for Halo.

Then it’s me sending all the computer files and videos off to get looked at by the Ark Angels and I’m done for the day and I’m pretty wiped out myself so I can only imagine how the others have to be feeling.

It’d have been a bit jarring to feel that she didn’t say that she loved me but she sort of does and at the same time she’s not ready either…and there was still something sort of missing to her no matter how amazing this was and she’s not going to voice that she wishes that she could…that I had…

What we just had was good and I knew the score before we got that close…she still wants a real girl, she loves me in that deeply cares for me friends with benefits way but yeah.

My girlfriend is a lesbian.

And sometimes having alien powers can suck.

Sage was already outside and waiting for Brooke and Rachel to join her for the recess. As the two of them came over, they went to a side part of the playground, near the classes, but near one of the basketball courts. As they watched the boys play, Sage saw Yvette coming over to them and she warned Brooke and Rachel.

At the word please, Rachel and Brooke's jaws dropped and Sage just blinked a couple of times. When they didn't respond, she asked again. “Please, can I ask a question? I know I've been...well, I've been a jerk, and I really am sorry about it, but I want to know something.”

Chapter 50

As much as going to see Hanna is on my mind the morning is a good morning by all of my standards. Nice waffles…I do like a good waffle, pancakes are awesome but I like the nooks and crannies thing.

I make a whole bunch and Taylor does a little scrambled eggs and a bit of bacon we don’t need much but I dig out the juice and the vitamins and take my meds and my vitamins and get Iggy hers and then Giselle’s Flintstone’s ones.

So trying to do the mommy thing.

Tay certainly makes it better with the kisses and nuzzles to my neck and places and him circling his arms around me.

I’m definitely more than blessed.

We’re staring at each other…she’s ignoring her entourage and not willing to break the staring until I focus and focus on her eyes and I can feel that almost psi-touchy thing of this intensity coming off of her.

She’s not trying to read me but it’s more like I can feel her focus on me.

I…was going for that a little motive hidden in why I’m so focused on her eyes…I do a telekinetic brush of her lashes.

She twitches and flinches and rubs her eyes.

Then the glare when she realizes I got past her.

~You blinked. ~

“C’mon Link I’m done here. I never was one for playing with Barbies.”

“Oh…that’s a gang down here y’know.”

We’re walking and that, that made me laugh.

Previously on………

Okay…I take a breath and built up my own power.

I hear them freak out and panic when those mooring things sizzle and pop and the boat starts to bob and move just floating on it’s own and I concentrate and let loose and slam my spell semi into the right side boat-wing thingy and the ship goes spinning in a fast circle in the hall hitting people, cargo falling off, people falling off before it gets wedged nose to tail sideways in the hall.

Then I’m in Final Fantasy meets Star Wars as spells are going up and off and arrows are flying and blasters are opening fire in the dark here from both sides.

Illisia casts some thing and this knights buckler made of energy and golden light with all these glyphs and symbols hit my arm and latches to it.

I pull my sword and fire it up and it does this energy whine as it does like a hawk cry at its prey and I run into the fight taking hits to the mage shield.

I’m not sure why but I yell. “Drop your arms in the name of the king!”

“A school that doesn’t know either of us.” Vance said in a whisper.

I’m not really mad at him just a little piqued I’d guess that you’d call it and I hit him a few times in his shoulder.

We both go. “Ow….”

My poor abused knuckles are hurting too much for hitting him now after all the adrenaline has worn off and everything.

“Damn Hunter those bony knuckles of yours sting.”

“Sting? You went ow.”

I take a few sips of my water and I check myself out in the mirror and try to ignore the looks for the other girls there. Honestly I’m sort of glad for the Scarlet super-heroine thing, I’m actually very comfortable in the leotard I’m wearing even though I’m still getting uses to the skirt they have us wearing with it and the legwarmers.

“Next!” The stage manager yells. “Thirty seven!”

Oops that’s me.

I go out on the stage and it’s bright they’re shining the house lights down on us and I can’t see the people in charge. I hear another voice. “Okay start!”

“Uhm…high I’m doing…” I get cut off by some woman out in the seats.

“We’ll figure it out, just start!”
