Author's notes:
I've watched the evolution of MAU with mixed emotions. On the one hand, it's been quite popular for authors, which is rewarding to watch. On the other, well, one thing I really didn't want to create was a universe based on fantasy, and I hoped the rules would help contain that. Unfortunately, my fears have been realized as stories have strayed into the fantastic and beyond. I could be like Bill with SRU and consider anything not by me to be non-canon. I could close the universe. Both of those seemed inadequate, or unfair to those who chose to play by my rules. The final straw was the theory that the agency had become a dark X-files-like conspiratorial evil group, as opposed to the light-hearted MIB spoof, powerless to do much beyond simple investigation and offering some help to victims.

Consider this a creator's slap at the big red RESET button. Please, authors, respect the rules of the universe I created, or create your own. There has to be some scientific rationale behind a change, not some weird fantasy. The agency is not some conspiratorial evil group. Thank you.

A young boy has run away from home. Breaking into Bikini Beach in search of food, he is caught trespassing in the morning and given a week's worth of community service. Why did he run away in the first place? Something has prevented Grandmother and Anya from seeing his past. Maybe a detective who is the great grandson of someone from Grandmothers past can help unravel the mystery.

A certain someone mentioned that I don't do sweet/sentimental/positive sex scenes. Simple answer to that: it's usually my clients who want the hardcore stuff and I like to go the discreet path in my more upbeat work. However, I figured Kelly and Reg getting together was a really special occasion, so enjoy some sex scenes in which everyone is happy, knows who the partner is and is having a blast.

Kelly gets the Blue Fairy Treatment and we have spoilers/foreshadowing for the Allie series.

A young man blames himself for the accidental death of his sweetheart. His futile attempts to escape his guilt have put him on a path of self-destruction. A punk girl takes him to Bikini Beach, and he gets a new perspective, and maybe, a second chance.

Notes: This story uses a few characters from Ellie Dauber's "Purse Snatcher" and "A Punk's Story" (Ed, Ken, Mel, Frankie, Tina, and Felicia). They are friends of the main characters, and are only incidentally used her. The story also makes reference to Melody, a girl from Ib12us's "The Runaway".

This is a little difficult to write, because there are so many flashbacks, and I've struggled with a way to mark them as such, without being 'clunky.' Flashback paragraphs are demarked at the start by *****that fateful night***** or similar

Many thanks to my editors, Sir Lee, Ib12us, and Salrissa. This one took more rounds of editing than any previous story, and I appreciate their patience.

True to the Professor's words David did return with a can of pop. Pepsi, not diet of course, however he at least managed to get her a straw of sorts. The Slurpee straw with it's spoon type end wouldn't but much use in a small can of cola. David handed it to her along with the straw. His big hands dwarfing her tiny hands as he did so. What took him less than his one hand took her two to catch. It was also no surprise that after handing over the can her own hands were a bit black as well.

(This is a different story for me, but one that underlies those who wait for others to give them direction or make decisions for them. Hopefully, in time each of us accepts who we are and learns to live with ourselves.)

Beth's afternoon classes were hectic. Her lab partner in her basic chem class was a bore. Ty was a nerdy know it all that liked to speak to her as if she was a product of a by gone era. Ie little better than to breed children. It was comments such as this that usually raised her hackles. But he was always like this no matter how many times she had proven to him she actually had a brain in her head.

Melissa and Pete were still arguing vehemently as they got out of the FD after parking at the Smitty's restaurant. So much so they both failed to even notice that Nicholas and Mark had parked next to them and were both shaking their heads at the two of them.

"If it is a faulty weld that broke it's certainly not my fault you did all the welding yourself." Melissa stated.

"My welds do not break. Ever! It's probably the strut rod you bolted in place being loose from your maniac driving!"

This is a VERY dark Altered Fates tale. It contains obscenity, the rape of two girls (males transformed by the Medallion), and the ravings of a very sick mind. (Not me, the narrator, and no wisecracks, please, about not being able to tell the difference.)

This was an experiment; a thought piece to see what would happen if a truly nasty man found the Medallion and decided to use it for his own purposes.

A stereotypical nerd and big Star Trek fan is having major problems fitting in, let alone getting treated as a real person. Then, at an SF convention, he discovers an alien box, and it transforms his life, and the lives of many of his acquaintences.

(NOTE: I know that the preferred term is Trekker. I am one. This title sounded better to me, okay?

Another note: This started as a short little piece about one character. But sometimes, stories have minds of their own. It just mushroomed, and refused to be so confined. And it was much more fun to write this way.)
