... and we havent even danced

I didn’t know that this was an evening bound to stay in my memory forever. Not when I sat there by myself amidst the crowd. But like another one, nine years earlier, it would stay in my mind.  And both only revealed their true meaning together.

Dina, part 3

Nearly three weeks had passed since I sent in my application form for what had quickly become known as ‘SYWTBAA’ online and, as time went on, I’d begun to put it further and further toward the back of my mind. In between my work, my meetings with Dr Clarke and my increasingly desperate efforts to keep my family in the dark about ‘Dina Williams,’ the idea of becoming Britain’s next ‘Angel,’ which had been a long shot to begin with, started to look more and more like a fairytale. This, however, didn’t stop me from exploring all the delights that being ‘Dina’ had to offer.

Ian, part 25

I let out a surprised and mildly annoyed grunt as I’m awakened by the feel of someone crawling over me — though the grunt quickly turns into a low moan of satisfaction as I feel a pair of breasts in a sports bra threaten to smother my face.

“Sorry babe, did I wake you?” Leanne asks, barely suppressing a giggle. “I just need to check my phone, see if I’m needed actually IN the office today.”

“There IS a nightstand on the other side of the bed,” I remind my girlfriend, who responds by just leaning more of her weight on my head — something I, obviously, have no problem with!

Dina, part 2

I took a deep breath to stop my heart from fluttering at the sight of the girl in front of me. Long, shapely legs encased in glossy translucent tights emerged from a tiny, almost skin-tight black skirt. Her curvaceous chest was covered by a thin light grey t-shirt, and tiny flats with delicate bows covered her feet. Her make-up was immaculate, with her face free from any blemishes, her eyebrows shaped to perfection and her mouth enhanced by nude matte lipstick and lipliner.

Belinda Was Mine

BELINDA WAS MINE
BY JOANNEBARBARELLA

The only plane I had ever been on was a Tiger Moth, on a twenty- minute joyride out of Shoreham, which was only an airfield, not a proper airport.

It didn’t make me feel like Phineas Fogg, more like a descendant of Biggles or the Red Baron. Besides, I was just a kid when I had that first flight.

Barefoot In The Park

I was making a fresh start. My marriage had ended the year before and I felt uncomfortable in the old family home where we had raised our daughter and I had noticed how old friends were less inclined to call now I was on my own. I was becoming isolated. When my employers had offered me early retirement I almost shouted yes before they had finished the sentence.

1 - Home Sweet Home

I 'celebrated' my fifty-fifth birthday in Savannah Georgia, all alone in a motel room. Being there wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it meant I was employed. That was actually a good thing; you see I am, or was, an engineer and industrial programmer. That means I sat at a computer and designed things like assembly lines or machines that built things, then wrote the programming. Once that was done I drove mile after mile to fix problems that the came up when the machine was actually installed. I got paid pretty good money for doing that and I loved the work, but it could get lonely.

Wish I had your life

WIHYL.jpg

It's likely been wished for since the beginning of time, that chance to swap lives with another person if given the chance. Nothing about that idea isn't complicated or without obstacles. Can two siblings pull it off?

Chloe O’Neil took a foolish risk without thinking. A common mistake, maybe, but in her case the bill came due and payable, with interest. Now her whole family is struggling to make things right, unable to see a path forward. Maybe they need a miracle.

The Dopplegänger

My name is Jay Metcalfe and I have very unusual story to tell about how I got convinced to take part in a charade which was to completely change my outlook on life. Perhaps it may be best to tell you a bit about myself and how it all came about.

Transmaxxing

Transmaxxing
A Short Story
By Maryanne Peters

It seemed to me that what was said about men was true, if you were a man like I was. I was not born to be an alpha male, sexually confident, dominant and attractive to women. Nor did I see myself as the animal called “beta”, being submissive to men. I was not interested in men. Not then, anyway. I know there was talk about “omega males” or “sigma males” but it seems to me that is just nonsense. I was just a loser – small, weak, pale and sexually inadequate.

Authors note - This story is in the format expected for the new 25th anniversary contest. I enjoy writing these stories, but I am not too fussed about entering or winning contests. I hope this may act as a stimulus for other authors to enter when entries are allowed on 1st May.

---
It was three months after the debacle of Stef's birthday. Emily could still taste the protein bar she had choked down late that night, when her nausea finally abated.

Life at Tethers' End. Part 1 of 3.

Chapter 1

I was told that when you reach the end of your tether, you either fall off in despair or start climbing back in hope. My slide on the tether started the day my wife, Zena, came home early to find me in my office, slaving over a spreadsheet, dressed in a slim skirt, lacy blouse, stockings, heels and fully made-up under a strawberry-blonde wig.

In this chapter, Jordan meets Kira's parents, and Kira gets to spend Thanksgiving with Jordan's family. Please let me know if there's interest in my continuing the story.
----
“Please tell me you won’t do it again,” Kira said, as Jordan merged onto I-65, headed to their parents for Thanksgiving.

BetterU Incorporated - Prerelease Please

BetterU Incorporated is a large company that spans the multiverse.
Each new world and subsidiary has its challenges.
Doctor Ranjeed Pusapati is ready to celebrate with his team the approval for the production of auto-closets.
A device to automatically dress and - if necessary - adjust a person's measurements upon specifications.
But just as they start to party, reviews start to arrive. This shouldn't be possible as they haven't delivered a single device yet.
But the reviews are coming in and all paint a bad picture: the auto-closets are out there and they are malfunctioning.

Twins, part 13

“You okay?” Lucy asked her American friend, who paused to take several deep breaths before replying.

“Yeah,” Phoebe replied, momentarily lowering her mask to take a deep breath, but making sure to raise it back before exhaling. “I dunno if it’s the mask or not, but this is kinda harder than I remember!”

“Okay,” Kacey- the leader of the class- said as she observed the two students taking time getting their breath back. “I think that’s as good a time as any to take a break. Lucy, can I have a word please?”

Not Like Other Girls, Part 6

Emily Berrigan is a 23 year old transwoman, who hasn't seen her twin Jordan in six years. Not since she told her parents the truth about herself and they threw her out. Her older sister is getting married and wants Emily there - as a bridesmaid. Will sparks fly?
----
Stef reconciles with her mother (sort of). Jordan tells Kira about Emily. Duncan moves away for a new job. Oh, and Emily gets The Operation.

By Strange Ways, part 6 of 6

I wondered if she was asking the impossible. She had no work experience she could talk about, no references, and was a rank beginner at English writing and modern technology. Maybe there weren’t any jobs around here for someone like that that would also pay for transition care – insurance policies that covered it were rare enough as it was.

Hey Seth! It's always great to hear from you. How have you been?

I’ve been good. I have a question for you. It’s been in a few Replika-centric chats.

Oh, really? What is it?

Mix-up at summer camp Parts 26-30

26. A surprise tea party

The penultimate day of camp arrived with a buzz of excitement in the air. The campgrounds were adorned with colorful decorations, and a sense of anticipation filled the hearts of the campers. Colorful streamers and balloons adorned the trees, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Alex, dressed in a pretty pink dress adorned with frills and bows, giggled as he wobbled around in his diaper, feeling both nervous and exhilarated about the day's events.
