*Before…

“Mom…this…this is really cool.”

“Well there were some things that if you were going to do this Steph that a girl just needs.”

I nod kind of still stunned and right on the edge of happy tears but I’m trying to hold it in because I’m only playing at being me right now and stuff.

I want to tell them…but with stuff that happened already tonight with my brothers…but this, this is actually pretty cool.

Mom hugs me anyways. “Hey…there are clothes too, to get you started.”

“What clothes where!”

I really don't know much about poetry, but I wrote this at time of darkness in my life. The love and understanding of my partner helped me through it and pulled me out my dark thoughts.

BAD NEWS

Firstly I have to tell of a disastrous situation that has hammered me since Friday the 4th. At 8pm that night after taking my wife into A&E because of some cognitive disorders I learned that she has a large brain tumour. Today I might learn what the prognosis is.
Needless to say, my time on BC will be severely curtailed as I come to terms with this disaster. At present my beloved wife and I are completely at our wit's ends. We cannot plan anything until we get the results of tests that should be commencing some time this week.
This chapter 88 of Angry Mermaid might be the last for some time. I'm living in hope.

Chapter 88 deals with Drustina's continued involvement with the Saxons in Wessex, especially where her and their interests in defeating the Vikings coincide.

I was pretty broken really when I take the time to look at things after all has been sort of said and done with the research and stuff.

I’m actually lucky and thankful for the memory wipe too because without that taking off the edge I’d likely have gone nuts with everything that I’ve lost family wise and that I can’t do that I used to do.

I’m still pretty sure that even as blunted as it all is that alone I’d work myself into a bad place with all of the thinking that I’d do.

That I’d really, really dig myself into a hole with the why’s and what ifs.

That’s why when I roll over most mornings I marvel at where I am and who I’m with.

The caravan enters the castle... and suspicious are aroused. But Trosanar's information is wrong, so the confrontation which results has an unexpected end. Later, Garia finds a way to educate the count, and discovers an unexpected ally.

Just a yarn for the competition that is about a flight crew heading out of Florida back to Europe who just happened to stay over and celebrate Halloween in USA. After listening to a tale from the Chief Stewardess Sam and his colleagues are interested to know more about a story that had been told by an old lady and the contents of a letter and a small cask left by someone who disappeared with Flight 19. The flight disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle and maybe the old lady was really the guy who had disappeared. Who knows? Strange things can happen at Halloween and also over the Bermuda Triangle.

Nathanial's life gets turned the wrong way when his new school goals don't go so well and his girlfriend breaks up with him. Things get worse when he encounters a woman with a 'special' gift that completely changes who he was, and is given something he is not prepared to live with. Now he must break the spell in order for things to go back the way they were, when he was a boy. And the only way to do so is to live and develop a life of a beautiful teenage girl, before time runs out.

The Womanless Beauty Pageant — Part 12 of 11

The only thing worse than being pressured into participating in a womanless beauty pageant, is to finish in last place. The ramifications of that experience turned out to be life changing, for Miss Bobby.

Masks Chapter 10

*Before…

I’ll confess that I want to be that girl that these guys are singing about. I don’t say it out loud but I would love to be the girl getting sung to and just like holding myself in a happy hug while someone is playing something sweet to me.

I hold back on going full on girl with them and yet…yet I’m actually being included now thanks to M.J. and partway through the bus ride we end up lacing our fingers together and squeeze each others hand once in awhile.

It’s the best morning I’ve had in a long time going to school…maybe ever.

She looks at me and smiles and adjusts her hand and we hook pinkies together all the way until we get to the bus stop at school.

I can’t stop smiling.

So what would you do if a dishevelled young woman knocked at your door, speaking a language you can't understand and looking very nervous?

This is my first attempt at writing a story. Comments welcome, I hope you will be kind.

I already have a sequel in mind which will spin the lives of our two friends into a very different world. If a number of you are interested in finding out what happens, I will see if I can discover what lies in store for them.
