When I came too I felt like somebody had placed a tin pail over my head and then taken a wooden broom stick to it and banged on that motherfucker till the cows had come home. I had one hell f a headache. The first thing I noticed was I was laying on the ground. The second thing I noticed was I was in a tent. The third thing I noticed was the smokey smell of fires.

Chapter 20

The other bands were drifting off, and all came to say their thanks. Willow had Sally shadowing her as she was hugged. Sally, being quite a striking looking girl, had her share of hugs as well. When Rick, Racheal, and Jacob were leaving, Willow got a hug and a kiss. She told Rick that she would get in touch as soon as she was given the finished discs.

There was a repeat when Geoff, Zara and her mother left. Sally snorted.

“That girl is going to have a problem with her mother. It looks as if she wants her daughter to be a star.”

After flubbing a powerful incantation, meant to give newly coronated Demon Queens the wisdom of their ancestors, Devilla Satanne awakens to memories of her past life as Jacob Divington, a human from Earth. Devilla knows her terrible behavior is beyond forgiveness, but maybe she can still make up for her past mistakes? She just needs to make sure the events of the game unfold correctly. Though there is one little detail she'd like to change - the part where Devilla herself is killed or enslaved!

It was ten minutes before Aspen convinced their suddenly uncooperative limbs to wobble them downstairs.

The breakup must have been written all over their face because Becks put down her phone and enfolded them in a tight hug. “Oh, Aspen. I’m so sorry.”

Chapter 19

Willow smiled at Malcolm’s statement.

“I told you that there were others who can take our place. Now, tomorrow, there will be at least twenty others. What’s the chance of putting on some food, even something light, between the end of the recording and the time that the choir get here.”

“It will be simple. I could do pie and chips, sausage and chips, egg and chips or chips on their own. With some bread and marge, you could always make chip butties.”

Back At The Vineyard:
“How are our finances looking, Henry?” Elizabeth looks across Henry’s desk as he taps away on his computer.

“The vineyard itself is doing fine. However, the trauma center is incurring a significant amount of expenses. You’ll need to make some changes to bring down the cost.” Henry looks towards Elizabeth, who is the trauma center director.

“What type of cost are you talking about, Henry?” Elizabeth needs to know exactly where they need to cut costs.

The most recent is, “Bea’s TV Station”, which is still up. “All in the Cards” is no longer available for free as it was when I first read it. To read it you need to buy “Men in Petticoats”. Sadly Bea passed on over four years ago; a great loss to TG fiction fans everywhere. I encourage you to buy her work. David kept a cautious distance as he followed Melissa toward the abandoned hardware store. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the cracked pavement of the old strip mall parking lot. Johnson's Hardware had been closed for nearly three years, its windows covered with weathered plywood and faded "For Lease" signs.

DeShawn stood at the edge of the track, watching his teammates finish their cool-down laps. Even at rest, everything moved with a slight sluggishness - just enough to be irritating, like watching a video at 90% speed.

"DeShawn, my man!" Coach Martinez approached, tablet in hand. "Another record today. You're making history out here!"
