Chapter 1

Wade and William Grimshaw were twins, Wade being the eldest by twenty minutes. They were not identical twins. In fact, the differences could not have been further apart if their parents had demanded them on a wish list.

I started to explore the room. I looked out of the window and opened it a few inches. I could see the wall in the distance. It was hard to judge how high it was. I was guessing twenty foot. This place was like a castle. It must have cost a fortune.

“Don’t even think about it.”

Paul’s voice made me jump.

“Eighteen foot high. Topped with razor wire. You can’t see them, but he has dogs outside the inner wall. They are semi-feral. They will hunt you down and all that will be left are a few bones.”

“Why the hell does he need all this. Why does he want me?”

I stood at the lounge window, looking out to the north and the vista of London in the distance. I was in my apartment, on the thirtieth floor of a high-rise block in Croydon. Up until recently, I had been a reasonably famous player in the sweet game known as football, or, as some others know it, soccer - the world game.

When my mother passed away, I had no choice but to go live with my Aunt Sophie who lived some distance away, separating me from the few friends I had. Aunt Sophie lived in Springfield and ran a small ladies clothing store below her modest home on the floor above. She was an expert seamstress and had an eye for what was truly fashionable and tasteful. She sold some factory-made stock, but she also made clever modifications and she made some tailored garments for discerning clients.

Totally shocked and devastated by the news that my body was intersex, I moped around in my own grey miserable world for the rest of the day, wandering the streets, stopping for coffees, watching the ducks and geese on the lake in the park, generally hiding away, before I had got myself together enough to face people again.

Amy moves back to the United States, after living most of her childhood and completing her RGN training in England. She is halfway through a year of board certification. The Ethical Clothing Act changes everything.

This was first posted over seventeen years ago. It has been updated and edited but – unfortunately – it’s message is timeless. Keep in mind that I wrote this during the second Bush era and have made only cosmetic changes to make it fit into the current day. The steady assault by a misguided political world on transgender rights makes this cautionary tale as relevant today, as it ever has been.

Chapter 53

Walking back to John’s place Lisa was filled with mixed emotions. On the one hand she shuddered thinking back to the bastard’s smug face which would probably only be more smug now that she was wearing his dried up cum. Cum which still smelled up to high heavens. It was so gross and incredibly shameful as she hid her head deep into her hoodie. At the same time however she was thrilled to finally hold the power to put an end to this mess. A feeling that had been cranked up way high after experiencing first hand just how bad John was.
