Nothing unusual ever happens here... at least on the surface. But, if you happen to find yourself on Mulberry Street, 239, standing in front of a quaint little curio shop, ran by an old, bearded Asian man named Kato Chigiri, you may find more than you bargained for. And EXACTLY what you need...

After receiving a post card in the mail, Mike, a hard-core haunted house enthusiast, decides to check out the supposedly haunted Room 1408 at The Dolphin Hotel in NYC. What he quickly discovers is that no man ever leaves Room 1408.

This story wouldn't leave me alone. It's not like I don't have a dozen partially completed stories in the queue. I was thinking of fleshing this story out more, but I kinda like it the way it is.

John was tricked into swapping bodies with Tiffany so that he could receive her punishment. It didn't work quite the way that she had hoped.

"This tribunal is now in session," the inhuman voice intoned.

I had just fallen asleep, so I would normally have considered this to be a dream. After all that has happened, I know better. This was an attempt by Tiffany to yet again escape the consequences of her actions and pass them on to me.

"The plaintiff will now state her complaint."

As he led Elizabeth (followed by his son and Crissie) back to her cabin, he promised that he would be back at 1150 to escort the two sisters to lunch. (In fact, Tom was very much interested in discussing what had happened before and during breakfast).

Today had been a long day for Eliza and her sister Chrissie. Packing, the long trip to the harbor, getting everything unpacked and stored in the much too small cabin the shared was tiring. Lunch was tolerable except for the most charming Tom Dodge who entertained everyone with his many strange sea tales that his son demanded. Each story more fantastic than the prior story. As a storyteller he was; well, he just was.

This was another request that is rough and does not have a happy ending.
