Edward's Storm

Edward’s Storm

My son Edward had been a happy baby, a quiet and shy toddler. Then, he hit puberty, and suddenly, he changed. Great bouts of anger and depression became the norm for him. At the time, I passed it off as the normal growing pains of a young man, until one day, something happened to change my mind.

I came home to find he had gathered a pile of pictures and put them on the floor. He was trembling, and there were tears streaming down his face.

I asked him gently, “Eddie, what are you doing with those pictures?”

“I want them gone.”

A Change in Lifestyle chapter 5

A Change in Lifestyle
Chapter 5

I couldn’t hide and I just stammered ‘Yes Miss’ in reply. She sat on the seat opposite scrutinizing me. I don’t know why I was so bothered since I’d left school years ago.

It seemed like yesterday and she spoke to me as if I was still in her class.

‘Robyn, what has happened to you? You are such a good looking boy so what have you done to yourself? Are you trying to look like a girl?’

What could I say. I was like a rabbit trapped in a car headlights. I couldn’t speak for a minute or so that felt like an hour.

A Change in Lifestyle chapter 4

A Change in Lifestyle
Chapter 4

Was it a deal?

I thought about it for a few seconds and I wondered what Helen might say. But she’d annoyed me so much that I didn’t really care.

‘OK if you need my help then I’m happy to come around but no word to Helen about this please. I’ll have to fit it into my part time job though.’

Fran said she’d match the hourly rate if I’d help her for at least 2 or 3 hours a day and maybe I could give up the job. That made me think a bit but I still wasn’t sure.

Kevin's Dream

Kevin’s Dream

I had the dream again last night.

It used to be a once-in-a-while thing, now it seems like its happening every night, and I think I might be going crazy because of it.

I mean, I’m a typical high-school boy, so why would I dream of being a girl?

It always starts out the same - I go over to my girlfriend Tammy’s house, and I change into her clothes. She doesnt seem to be freaked out by this, in fact in the dream she has a blast helping me strip the boy off of me, and reveal a girl inside.

A Change in Lifestyle chapter 3

A Change in Lifestyle
Chapter 3

It was our next door neighbor Francesca looking over the fence and holding her young daughter who was crying.

‘Robyn is that you?’ I stopped to look up and immediately thought how stupid I was to assume nobody would see me.

‘Robyn can you help me please I’m at the end of my tether.’ She seemed to ignore how I was dressed and the fact that I was wearing some make-up. She was obviously very close to tears.

A Change in Lifestyle chapter 2

A Change in Lifestyle
Chapter 2
Well some of you my ask how come my name is Robyn and not Robin. Well at school I got teased a lot and also recently Helen has teased me a lot too. I have been living with this difficulty all through my school and working life and when I’ve applied for jobs on the internet the response mostly comes back as Ms Robyn Boyd-Cooper and even Helens bank sent me a bank card as Ms Robyn Boyd-Cooper. It seemed to amuse Helen a lot so she didn’t do anything about it.

Becoming Samantha -
A TWILIGHT ZONE story
By Anon Allsop

Pink Angel

Pink Angel

I saw her standing forlornly in the corner of the store, her price marked as “half-off”, and I simply had to bring her home. She was a Christmas lawn ornament, a life-size announcing angel with trumpet ready to blow, lit up in pink in honor of breast cancer research.

I put brought her home, and set her in my tiny front yard, and then went inside. I was all alone now, and felt desperate for company, so at the start or at the finish of every day, I found myself sitting on my front step, talking to my new guest.

My Hero

My Hero
By Anon Allsop

I slowly strolled by the dress shops, momentarily gazing into the windows and looking at the new styles from New York. I caught sight of my reflection in the window, blond hair askew and lightly floating in the gentle breeze. I straightened my light jacket and continued to walk down the sidewalk.

"How'd you like to wrap those long legs around me honey?" I glanced up, a man in a white tank top had settled in beside me. He was grinning like a hungry wolf. A soft breeze blew across my exposed legs and drifted up the cotton mini skirt I was wearing.

Toy Time

TOY TIME

This is an intense story, and may trigger people with PTSD. Please read with caution.

I’m going to work, its another typical day, dealing with the ex, my gender issues, and .... other things. I look for something to listen to on the radio, just flipping through my pre-sets, when I hit the local sports station. They are talking about the night’s football game, and I relax, letting my attention get back to my driving.

Mission Impossible? Part 9

Mission Impossible?

Chapter 13

“I’m sure the DEA or CIA will be more than happy to give us a tracking device for Amber to wear the next time she goes out with Corazon” the blonde major thought aloud.

“It was a spur of the moment decision that he took me. I happened to bump into Angel as he slipped out dressed as hotel maintenance.”

“Yes, and you put yourself in danger,” Logan snapped.

“I was in no danger,” the young operative replied.

The Tramp - A Tale for Christmas

The Tramp

A Short Christmas Story by Tanya Allan

I first wrote this in 2007, but thought it would be appropriate to submit it here for you at this festive time. This is the first Sunday in Advent, so my prayer for you all is that your wishes come true... eventually!

It was the night before Christmas, Andy was kneeling on the end of his bed with the curtains open; his nose pressed against the windowpane. It was snowing, so he was watching the view from his bedroom window transform itself from the usual vista of fields and hedgerows into a white paradise.

Henry came in with the post, it was late–it was always late–and he always grumbled. “No wonder Royal bloody Mail are going tits up–they have the gall to charge forty odd pence for a bloody letter and then they can’t deliver it on bloody time.”

He threw the assorted envelopes on the desk as he always did and strode out still swearing as he went. It was my job as the office junior to open the post and sort it into different piles.

Convergence: When Stories Collide

Through the near infinite reaches of space-time, a single shaft of power pierces multiple realms, connecting them so close to instantaneously that the difference cannot be measured by anything less than a god. Or someone, as the case may be ...

“Go on, you ask him.” Carol pushed Ray towards me.

“Why do I have to do it?” he hissed back.

“Um–Rob, can you give us a hand?”

The Registry- part 5

The Registry ...part 5 by Allexcited69
This is a work of fiction that deals with a simple future. In it, most people, if they were numbers, were now simple people with simple ideas and very simple needs. Harsh language is used and this story includes descriptions of sexual behaviour that may be considered disturbing to some. All names have been changed and all venues are made up.

Another Side of My Life
Chapter 7
by Julie D Cole

As we gathered together in reception half an hour later I sat with Debbie. She whispered to me.‘Excuse me Julie. Are you and Jack together?’ Looking at my ring she said ‘He hasn’t secretly proposed has he?’ ‘Sarah says that Laura is worried to death.’
……………………………………………………………………………………………
‘Sarah is crazy. I honestly never met Jack until yesterday. He helped me when I was in trouble.’
Debbie looked closely at me.

I’m a writer.

I’m not super-famous like Grishim or King, but there’s a good chance you’ve seen one of my books in the paperback section. Based on my royalties, quite a few of you have bought one - “for a friend” maybe, because I’m not the kind of author people seem happy to admit they read.

I’ll take the money regardless.
