*Before…

We actually start to ping back and forth talking about what was sent and the first thing that I do need to do is to give a return thank you to those people for sending those up here to me because it was likely far from cheap.

I stop by the PX and I buy a small sheaf of real paper and an envelope and a pen and I go to my quarters and I start to write a thank you to them and a real letter.

The girls are coming in and I open the figs and the honey for them and they start to check it out too and some are trying the equally as unfamiliar with things as I was with them.

I ping the kitchens too and find out what that’ll cost and they ask what I have and they are going to call me back with a price and recommends.

I still want to do this, other people do this and I kind of want those kinds of memories too before we all are off ship and gone to do our different things.

*And Now…

Alright well, here we are. The bad news is I'm still just as slow at the moment. The good news is the book I'm working on is about 2 weeks from finished on my end, and then it's business as usual, at least for awhile.

Which brings us to this chapter, in which we explore inn's in the brave new world, and hope they aren't any worse than this one. Enjoy!

Washington DC, December 30, 2024.

The President of the United States of America stands looking out through a window in the Oval Office. She’s thinking about the events since her announcement the day after the election in November. She is still amazed and appalled how fast things moved since then. The pace has been unprecedented. How could so many so-called friends and allies, many of them in congress only through her support, turn against her like that? She had been a very successful president for 8 years and now this!

 
The wedding is over. I’d met a wonderful guy, and even if I did like guys, which I don’t, my heart belongs only to Sara. But, I hurt him, which really upset me. Other than that, it was a fun time. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. And, the guys never did figure out which bride’s maid was a boy. If there really was one. Well, it’s time to go back home and back to being Peter. Sigh.

For some Eternal s, our longevity has its drawbacks. There are some of us like the mighty Zeus, who after his place in the sun had passed, found eternity so insufferable, that he long ago spread his essences upon the stellar wind, thus is no more.

"Tansie," Alyson Palmer yelled. "Get Her Majesty some more spiced wine."

“Godddd…” I moan as I prop myself up on my elbows on a towel on the floor of the converted London taxi. “Why does it have to take this long?”

“It’ll take as long as it takes,” Hannah replies from the driver’s seat of the taxi.

*Before…

I look around and it’s just her and Nicole, Jessa and Taylor.
I take a stuffy nosed breath. “Prince Christian Lyonnes and heir and…and daughter of Aurora Blackhand….”
I was not very sure of that… of this and her.
Nicole coughs. “We’ve been using Christiana or Chrissy.”
The woman breaks into an easy smile. “I like that I’d wager your mothers would have too.”
“You knew my mother?”
“Deidre? Nay just what Aurora had said, fine person by all account though.”
(Sniffle-sob.) “She was…” I gesture hopelessly at my face. “I’m sorry; I don’t know why I’m….” (Sniffle-whine.)
She nods and pulls me close. “It’s a ‘cause yer here Chrissy, yer journey’s done, yer safe.”
…..
I…
(Sniffle-sob.) “Safe?”
She nods and squeezes me hard enough to make me squeak. “Aye…safe.”

The Spirit Guard inform Rob more about his destiny which leaves Rob more than a little confused...

 
Well, I’ve met the other bride’s maids, and it went well. I think that they were all shocked when they first met me, and full of questions. But, I was quickly accepted as one of the girls. And, one of them even said, “You should have been born a girl.” Why do some people feel that way? Oh well, I don’t.

The wedding is this Saturday, and I’m really getting nervous. If the wrong people find out about me, this wedding isn’t going to be good.

Last week was really a roller coaster. On Saturday when I woke up I was a typical geeky boy. And, now I look more like a pretty teenaged girl. I even talk like a girl, act like a girl, and walk like a girl. Being a cross-dresser at heart, I was in heaven. And, everyone in my family and my girlfriend’s family accept this. That’s everyone in my family except for my brother. And, that was a major downer.
