So, my good friend Daisy has finally fulfilled her dream of being a runway model! During a recent visit to our local plaza, she was offered five hundred dollars to model lingerie in the main concourse. The rest, as they say, was history.

Tender Mercies

My vision blurred as I stepped reluctantly into the middle of the parlor. Hot tears streaked down my cheeks; I had never felt so utter degraded in my entire life. Here I was, surrounded by a gaggle of old maids, clapping and leering with delight. Today was the big day – the final day of the school semester.

A while back I had separated from my husband and moved in with my friend Debbie. I wasn't sure how long I would be there, but had an open invitation to stay as long as I needed.

Debbie had an older house in the Village that she was renovating into several apartments. It was perfect.
