This was NANA’s anniversary, or the weekend closest to it, anyway, and there was a big party. The magical members cast a special spell for the event. Anybody in town who didn’t know about powers would simply not be interested in what was going on in the park, on top of the usual spell that would cause them to not see anybody flying or with green skin or whatever. So it was an event where people could let out their powers in public more than they normally could.

“Final check, I want you to actually see the thing before you tell me we have it. If we forget something, it could mean the difference between success and failure,” Ella said.

** Sorry about the flaky posting. Was very sick for the last little while, but I'm feeling better, so everything from here on should go smoothly.

Despite all the times I'd ended up half naked, or worse, in the last month, I was still blushing bright enough to light up a dark cave as my friends all 'helped' me.

“You have to try this on,” Naomi said. “It will look great on you.”

Keir moaned on his bed.

Every breath was a jagged spike of bitterly cold agony. The pulsing of his blood was a hammer, pounding inside him, bringing pain with every strike. Sweat beaded on his skin, he was so hot. It felt like he was on fire. His throat cried out for water. His tongue was a thick slab of dried, useless meat, filling his mouth, choking him, keeping him from speaking.

He wished he would die. Death had been peaceful. Painless.

Chapter 5: Dad comes home to a surprise and a wife that is upset with him. How will he react to his son now being his daughter?

Ella stood at the head of our usual table and raised her glass of juice. “Everyone, I know that some of you may have thought this day would never come. But by sticking and working together, we have finished our first month at Doom Valley.”

Chapter 4: Mandy goes home with Dr. Parker. With a little bit of magic and the effects of TSS, Mandy's life at home will never be the same.

Keir stood behind his three students, Blau, the lame boy, Katalia, the angry girl, and Kazmer, the boy who used both necromancy and fire magic. They didn't know it, but this was going to be their last lesson with him. They each had a cage with a live rat inside, some pests that had been caught near the warehouse of food. There were a dozen rats for each of them in a large cage off to the side.

“Petra,” Ella called. “Come out from under the bed. What's wrong?”

I was huddled in the corner of the Monster Under The Bed's room, clutching my knees to my still enormous chest. The Monster was patting my head with her trunk, making cooing sounds trying to calm me down. One of her long, multi-jointed arms took a cookie from a plate on her table and held it up to me. I didn't take it. I barely noticed it.

“Diary I… I don’t know what to think. We got into combat, and I got separated from my squad. Then while separated I ended up encountering a Royal calling herself The Faerie Queen. She talked with me, didn’t even try to purify me or hurt me. And she told me things. Impossible things, things I can’t believe. If what she said is true then, then, I don’t know.
