"Hi everyone," said Michelle, this is professor Watts who'd like to speak to you about the abduction of her daughter."

"Why should we be able to help her?"

"Well, it so happens that we have been under assault from a group of TERFs from Sussex who are funded by a radical baptist church in Texas and an American millionaire who also happens to be rightwing Republican and who believes that anyone who isn't a White Anglo- Saxon male should be annihilated, which means all of us here. The joke is, that in keeping with the norm for Republicans, he isn't too bright and he's funding a campaign which has been hijacked by lesbian groups who he detests but doesn't know his only daughter is gay.

"Now I'm not against gay women or men, what floats your boat is your business alone and shouldn't be decided by politicians or governments or the bible, however, investigations have led us to you after the abduction of my daughter from her house in Cambridge, now I'd like her back and I shall do what I can to mitigate charges against you. If I don't get her back PDQ, I'm going to be less friendly and if I have to destroy all of you to do it, I shall. I shall give you the option."

"What gives you the right to walk in here and start accusing us, " asked the American Estelle.

"My researches, we have evidence which implicates you, now you can deal with me or the police, which I will call in a few moments unless Trish is released now."

Someone jumped on my back trying to snatch my phone - bad mistake, I don't like it and tend to react violently. I spun quickly and flung her into a wall after she hit Estelle who also went down. Another woman rushed at me adopting a martial arts stance, I don't think she had more than an introductory instruction because I did a flying kick and she dropped like a stone squealing.

"Now, we can call a truce and you hand over my daughter or I shall beat the shit out of each and every one of you. Running away won't help, I have friends outside who are equally violent when attacked."

"She's not here," said another girl cringing in front of me.

"Where is she? my patience is running out, so make it quick." I demanded trying to be as intimidating as I could. I went to grab her and she shouted, "Alright," at me.

Estelle picked herself up and picked up her phone, "Bring the Cameron girl to the common room," whoever she spoke to argued and she repeated the instruction.

"I could always go and get her," I threatened.

"No, it's okay, they're bringing her over." Estelle took a step back from me and I watched to see if anyone tried to escape or attack me. I think the demonstration I gave of meaning business gave a strong influence to the women who had tried it on. They were still counting their teeth and groaning on the floor. I had allowed them to start it before I let go all the anger and stress I'd built up over the last few days. No one takes my children without consequences, they were lucky I didn't kill them.

"Where is she?" I growled at them, "or do I have to start making examples of you? You may be at Cambridge but you don't seem too clever." A girl worked her way to the door and out, straight into Danni's arms. She threw her straight back inside shouting, "Where is my sister you bastards?"

Ten minutes later two girls brought in Trish who looked extremely pissed off. She demanded her iPhone returned, a girls said they'd lost it, so Trish exploded into a tantrum which left several more women on the floor, shouting, "You'd better find it or get me another."

"Are you always so violent?" asked Michelle over the sobs and cries of the women.

"Only when my family is in danger, if I'd had to kill them all to get her back, then I would have. The police have been called, we are now leaving, those who are clever enough to plead guilty will have fewer charges brought against them. Those who try to plead ignorant or challenge the charges could end up in prison and destroyed financially. I am not taking prisoners. I want chapter and verse about the group's involvement with the Texas church. I am going to destroy that anyway, my husband is doing the same to the guy who is funding it. If they find out that he knows about their lawbreaking, he's going down, plus we'll make sure he knows about his daughter. If he masterminded the abduction, he won't come out in his lifetime."

"Wow, you are vicious." Michelle offered.

"They took one of my kids, I didn't know how well they treated her. They could have killed her, in which case they'd all be dead now."

"You don't mess about, do you?"

"Would you?"

"I suppose not." Flashing blue lights filled the grounds as a dozen or so young women were escorted away after being cautioned.

"Did you have to get violent?" the chief inspector asked me.

"They attacked her first," said Michelle, "She just responded."

"If they cooperate and name the people and church in Texas, I may ask for leniency. If they play hard to get, throw they key away, I'll go for maximum punishment."

"Given that abduction is a major crime if they are convicted they won't be breathing fresh air for seven to ten years."

We all left to return to the hotel, Michelle went with James in his Porsche, Trish and I hugged all the way as Danni drove my car.

She was questioned by police and answered as honestly as she could, when asked why she didn't seem very perturbed by her experience she said, "I knew my mum would find me and get me out, I just had to keep calm and stop my captors hurting me. I could have taken them out but didn't know how many were outside or were involved. So I thought it best to let Mum find me, I sent her the blue light and felt hers in return, so I knew she was coming."

We had to talk our way out of that and I dismissed it as psychic link we all seemed to have, the women anyway. Why was I so relaxed, I knew she was okay and it gave us time to amass evidence. I was going for wipe out, no one messes with my girls.

I managed to avoid charges for assault because Michelle told the police that the violence only started when I tried to call the police. I claimed I was asserting my right to defend myself, I also suggested that I had constrained my response, no one had any broken bones, if it had continued most of them would as I fight with the aim of preventing opponents getting up and attacking me again. If they go down, they stay there. It minimises risk to me and that is the priority. I had weighed up the odds and although they could have taken me if they were coordinated and attacked together but that was never going to happen, I was pretty ready to fight my corner however they wanted to do it. The initial attack almost caught me by surprise but my response meant that another attacker would pause. My subsequent reply to the second attack was possibly over the top, but it showed I wasn't to be trifled with, even by those who thought they knew some karate or similar. In the heat of battle, street fighting wins most of the time, it's about survival not poncing about with martial arts poses, just hit 'em first and keep your back to the wall. It was a fight not an exhibition dance.

The police were still not convinced that I knew Trish was alive, thinking that i may have been involved as some sort of publicity stunt. However, the detective leading it spoke to James about it. James told him in no uncertain terms that he was only alive because of my ability to find those with whom I have some sort of link, in his case, it was working together and looking after each other, if you remember I found him in that quarry. The copper dismissed it and said he was going to investigate the matter. James told him he was wasting his time, however, he was determined to prove it was at best a hoax at worst a waste of public money.

I was summoned to the office, Danni having taken Trish and Michelle back to the hotel where Trish was soaking in the bath and trying to think when they took her phone. Danni and Michelle were having a cuppa and James a bottle of beer.

"Now Professor, I hope you are going to confess to the fact that this is a hoax."

"No, why should I?" The way this was going this chap was going to on traffic duty if he kept it up.

"Come on, all this psychic nonsense, all this family bonding, she's an adopted child, so how is there a link?"

I suddenly had a vision of his son in a car that was going to crash before the day was out. I suspect the blue light was giving me an example to make him take note. "You need to get your son out of that car it's going to crash."

"Oh yeah, so you've suddenly got a link with my son, have you."

"No, you moron, I linking to him through you. If you don't act fast, I can't predict how hurt he's going to get."

"He's pretty tough, he plays rugger."

"I suspect a ton of metal is tougher." I suggested and he looked to be wavering. "At least call him and get him out of the car." He picked up his mobile and thought about dialling.

"So if I get him out of the car and he's okay, how do I know you're not making it all up."

"Call him for goodness sake, I don't think he's walking away from the collision." I was getting quite anxious and the inspector was still on pause mode. "Jesus, call him you fucking idiot," I shouted at him and hit him with a ball of energy. He was knocked out of his chair and was just about to hit me back when he saw I hadn't moved.

"How did you do that?"

"Call your son, time is critical," I said and hit him with another ball of light.

This time he saw it hit him and he stopped sitting there and dialled his son's phone. "Steve, get out of the car. Look I don't care if it's raining do it. Because you're going to have a fucking accident and you may not survive it. Just do it alright, I'll pay for a taxi home."

"There, I've told him, he doesn't believe me." Just then I had a flash of a car being smashed to pieces by an articulated lorry. He noticed me flinching. "What's happening?"

"The driver didn't make it, I hope your son got out, the car was flattened by a big truck."

"How do you know that?"

"I don't know, I just had a vision of it."

He picked up his office phone and asked if there had been any RTAs reported in the past ten minutes. Just then his mobile rang and his son was hysterical on the other end, he managed to say his friend was dead, the car was badly damaged and he'd be dead if his dad hadn't made him get out of the car.

The inspector ran out to a toilet and was sick, I didn't know whether to stay or just go, he knew where I was. He came back, he was ashen and he shook a little. "I think you'd better go home," I said, I'll still be at my hotel tomorrow if you need to talk."

I left, the blue light had shown him that you don't mess with it. I'm not sure he believed it but that was his problem. My daughter was safe and so was his son. If I hadn't said anything about what I saw, he be in mourning tomorrow. I was glad he listened but I'm not sure it solved anything.

I got a cab back to the hotel and felt a mixture of things, was the driver going to die anyway, if not was it just a display of the energy's power? If so I'm not sure I wanted anything else to do with it, though it seemed you don't walk away from it until it lets you, or so it seems.

Ouchies

I think the blue light showed the detective what it does. I still feel like Trish could have gotten out of the situation solo as she is very close to the Goddess and does have the blue light capabilities. Oh well, maybe for another day.

Sephrena

Protecting her kids.

Cathy

Should maybe practice a bit more. It seems life is not done with tossing situations at her, and she's not getting any younger. I hope the blue suits actually do an investigation, get where the kid was held, and find her phone. Damning evidence. I a happy for the copper saving his son, sad Cathy could not see the other kid, and very sad he didn't get out with his buddy to see why dad was so adamant about getting out of the car.

Easy as falling off a bike.

Apparently the cautionary tales about getting on her wrong side aren't as well known as they used to be among the constabulary. She must not have ended anybody's career lately.

Time is the longest distance to your destination.

Using her psychic abilities to convince non believers. I suspect that cop will be a lot more willing to listen to her advice and help Trish.
