Edeyn Okay, so I spend a lot of time on FaceBook, and many of my friends and relatives post memes {pronounced 'meem'} -- the little tests that tell you what character from movie X you are like, or what kind of bean you're like, or how many roads you must travel {42}, etc. I normally don't even give them thought, but a good friend of mine who is pretty much the embodiment of youthful exuberance even though she's approaching 30 posted a fantastically interesting one that I had to try.

That's right! Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, (the birthplace of Knights of the Dinner Table and HackMaster -- a geek mecca) refused to treat Erin Vaught (who is legally female) who came to the ER with her wife and child to find out why she was coughing up blood!

I love my mother, and though she's sometimes ashamed to admit to me being her child (let alone daughter instead of son), I know she loves me. I mean, there's a LOT of reasons to be ashamed to admit being related to me...

Edeyn Okay, so I've had a rough week. I don't need to grouse more than I have, and steps are being taken -- no, I'm not suicidal... if that matters to you, thank my belovéd for providing me with a reason for living.

But I was so far down that I cried until I had no tears left. Literally. I mean, I was sobbing and wailing... but there were no tears left to come out. I exhausted my tear ducts. So... today, we (roommate and I) found a bunch of INANE but fun jokes on YouTube ... some are old, some aren't, some are horrible groaners, some are laugh until you can't breathe, some I had heard (or even told) before, and a some were brand new to me.

Edeyn So... the reason for the panick attack isn't really important. But. Last night I woke screaming and ended up rocking back and forth on my bed hugging my knees for about an hour... or five.

What I'm asking here, is if I'm the only one that has this problem. Am I? I mean, I'm able to handle things most times but I have little moments in my life and memory that are essentially me taking a brief vacation from sentience.

Edeyn You all know I love you, anyway. Heh. This is to those that like series, too, by the way. And yes, I will be getting back to more writing, on even my older stuff starting this week! School is finally giving me a bit of breathing room.

But! My latest offering, Aisling was thought of specifically with those that hate series in mind. It's a limited, or mini- series, if you will. It will be completed and in a relatively short amount of time. The title will let you know that it's finished when it is -- which will be ASAP!

Edeyn Okay, just so folks know what's going on... My typing speed has slowed. Dramatically.

It's infuriating.

Anyway, I am still working on things, but I can type somewhere between half and 2/3 as fast as I used to be able to do. Faster than that is not even a possibility most of the time, and when it is a possibility, it hurts to do it. A lot. Like me cradling my arm and weeping uncontrollably for about an hour painful.

Go through your story list, and make sure all of your one-shot, solo stories are marked as such!

When the update that allowed stories to be set as either series or solo was put on the site, the default setting is series. If you want your solo stories to be able to be grabbed by the "Five Random 5olos" feature (which is pretty awesome), then go through all your solo stories real quickly and make certain that that ARE marked as solos!

I hate this

I have a wonderful girlfriend, but she's half a world away.

I just spent twenty minutes standing and crying in the living room in frustration at the pile of shit my life has become.

I really have no idea what to do now and it scares me.

The only reason I'm not still in the hospital is not having health insurance. If I had it, they would have kept me at least another week, but more if I had no one to help take care of me at home -- but I have neither insurance nor anyone to care for me.
