Now, how do we want to do this? What font do you wanna be?
Um... pick one?
Okay, you get to be Georgia Italic and I will be Comic Sans.
... sure.
Now, what do we want to say?
Well, you started the Epic Quest of Epicness by leaving here, so...
Alright, then I'll give a short account of that part before we go into the joint part.
I stood in the below freezing weather for 90 minutes before Greyhound showed up -- only 10 minutes late. Then I pretty much fell into my pattern of falling asleep in a moving vehicle until Nashville. I had a 7 hour and 35 minute overlay... before boarding the bus for Murfreesboro (a half hour away) and meeting Heather and later her wife and daughter.
Then Heather, her wife and I loaded up their car the next day for the next leg of the Epic Quest of Epicness... driving from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to Port Huron, Michigan.
No one told me how far away Michigan was. Make sure you mention the abject fear of driving through one of the worst blizzards and worst road conditions in years... with my mother-in-law's panic the night before... only to have pretty much nothing but a 2-foot diameter swatch of ice on our doorstep to slow us down.
We passed by ] the Great Quicksand Jesus [ in mid-Ohio... and were awed by his presence ("You damn dirty apes!" -- Heather's wife) and we saw a frozen Mosque -- there will be pictures later.
We got there (Port Huron) pretty much right on schedule -- to be informed by my former roommate/landlady that we had an HOUR to get all my stuff and get gone. We took 90 minutes and were met by Rachel Anne Keller and her daughter to graciously take what wouldn't fit in the Vibrant Vehicle of Verisimilitude (which was our Steed on the Epic Quest of Epicness).
When we left Port Huron, we met a knitting friend (Username: dnatheory from Ravelry.com). We had a great time geeking out with her and her Significant Smother. The next day, we went to THE GREATEST BREAKFAST PLACE EVAR!!!!! (No, really, we're not joking... Go to Farmington Hills, Michigan, and eat at the Breakfast Club -- you don't need Molly Ringwald. Much.)
I then spent the next 6 hours heroically snoring while Heather drove back and forth across Ohio and Michigan a few times and then ended in Columbus, Indiana, for dinner with another knitting friend from the ever-popular Ravelry.com and chatted until way too late with her and her ... rather awesome... 11-year old daughter.
... and the unexpectedly very tasty Chinese food from the only place colder than outside... I then drove another 4 hours while the other two occupants vied for volume.
We spent the next few hours with Heather collapsed in a slumbering pile. Then left Murfreesboro at 1pm... then stopped for the coolest all-you-can-eat lunch (sushi) that I've ever seen, with an ever-attentive young waitress named Yi...
-- don't forget cute!
... and then left Murfreesboro at 2:30pm. We talked about a project I'm working on that she's helping with a MAJOR portion of the backgrounding for on the way west, and around Memphis, I conked out again... moving vehicles are my sleepy weakness. When she woke me at Little Rock to ask which way to Hot Springs, I told her the wrong way out of sleepy dumbheadedness. An hour later we realized the mistake...
Dude... there's no Hot Springs here.
*sigh* and had to take a twisty tiny turny terrible state highway the last 90 minutes...
-- over the mountain or hills or ... it was up and down-y --
... and arrived at my roommate's work to retrieve the key and within a half-hour Heather was blissfully imploding my windows as I was trying to finish up homework... and that brings us to now.
Where I have to have some coffee, unpack the car, pack the car with MY stuff, and drive home -- hopefully not over a mountain.

Slowly but steadily moving closer...
...all my admiration for you as you wend your way through rock and plain to grow nearer to your ultimate home. All my best to you, dear one. And hi, Heather!
She was born for all the wrong reasons but grew up for all the right ones.
Possa Dio riccamente vi benedica, tutto il mio amore, Andrea

You should have stopped at the Ruby tree farm for hot cider and donuts. I did warn Heather about the snow but at least you made it back safely from there.

It is a long road ahead but I will finally become who I should be.
At least you didn't need....
to brave the rotary around DC... (Yes, I call it that, as I know someone that missed their exit off the beltway, got about 1/3 the way past it before realizing it, and decided it was easier to keep going around to her exit... Entered via I-95 from Richmond... And Exiting on I270 - toward Fredrick...) Yes, I don't let her forget it either, but then, I've had my "oopsies" on the road, but I tend to stop and ask directions on those rare occasions...
Glad your travels ended up safe all around.
Annette
Hope it's fun as well as adventure
Lots of luck and lots of love, girls!
