Yeah. So. I had some issues with my ISP. Practical upshot was that I had 15 essays, a quiz, and a 10-page research paper that I couldn't turn in. So Thursday night, I finally get the okay from my professor to turn them in late and still get full credit. However (gotta be a catch, right?). She has to turn in grades Saturday evening. So she gave me until noon Saturday (My time, Central... She's in Pacific) In about 2 hours time I did all the essays (which I'd done the readings for when assigned) including citing sources, as well as taken the test. So. Tonight was for working on the Research Paper. I find myself doing anything BUT working on it, and it's a full quarter of my grade for the class! Here I am writing a blog about writing the paper instead of writing the ding-dang paper. The topic is an engaging one, though, and I find myself having difficulty keeping emotion out and objectivity in. Bride Burning.

I am asking for a small group of folks to bounce a story off of. It is NOT finished, but I'm just getting into the writing of it. Wrote what's there in about 20 minutes today. Any takers?

So, when I was talking about posting the pieces of this story I wrote as a sort of fanfic, The Violet Ajah, I was proud of the fact that I had actually gotten James Rigney's permission to write it, as well as the fact that he liked the first 4 chapters of it when I sent them to him. [NOTE: James Rigney is the real name of the author known as Robert Jordan]

Please limit the amount of characters unbroken by a space to a dozen. Thank you.

So. The naysayers that wanted the project killed are going to be happy, at least. I received a total of 7 nominees. I wanted at least 1 nominee per category -- I didn't think it was too much to ask.

Ah well. Was probably a dumb idea anyway.

I will be catching up on the shortcuts tomorrow. Sorry about the couple of day lag there, to make up for it, there will be a couple of days with an extra-large Shortcuts box.
