Unbroken Characters

The most interesting characters are the broken ones.

Also, space is limitless. Carl Sagan said, "We're left over star stuff."

Thank you.

Distressingly Minimalistic Vocabularies

I don't understand why the full range of perfectly suitable English nomenclature is not acceptable to Top Shelf. I find it thoroughly burdensome to have to cautiously pick and choose my words, and even count the letters so as not to run afoul of the systemic indexing routine, or whatever is malfunctioning, a perfectly ordinary 14-letter word I apparently am not allowed to use in a title.

It screws up browsers

Edeyn was talking about people going AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW in a comment title. Just be reasonable.

Reasonable?!

Au contraire. I was trying to be wittily, yet naively, sardonic.

Ah, well... Back to the drawing board...

*giggle*

Naive

It's okay to be naive, but you doesn't have to be inexperienced (13) or unsophisticated (15).

It's like they used to say. You can call me Ray, and you can call me Jay, but you doesn't have to call me Rumpelstiltskin (15).

Can I still be

unreasonable(12)? Thanks for all the hard work you do for us, and the site and services you provide,

I've got an idea for a new story. A man goes on a South seas vacation where a pleasure boat takes people to watch an actual eruption, but breathing the smoke causes him to come down with pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, and the pressure of a ladies' swimsuit on his ribcage is the only thing that keeps his coughing under control. Of course, they have to pack the cups to keep it tight all over, and one thing leads to another. By the time the package tour has them climbing Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu in New Zealand, she's accepted as pretty much one of the girls.

No, that's a stupid idea. (I apologize if acts of floccinaucinihilipilification offend anyone.)

Erin's asked not to have long words so . . .

Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu

Lone Ranger

Quantum Jump

1978/9

It's a long time since I heard that. Kenny Everett had it as his opening sequence for his television show as well.

Thank you for reminding me.

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

Speaking of long words ...

It's just lucky for you that your delicate beauty makes up for your extreme educability. :)

Delicate beauty - educability?

That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me!

Just an update and that is that the above is not quite right.

According to Wickipedia the name is as follows

Taumatawhakatangihangakuayuwotamateaturi
pukakupikimaungahoronukupokaiawhenuakatanata
humatakuatanganuakawamikitora

Split into three lines for fear of screwing with some people's monitors.

The song was actually released in GB in 1976, so I got that wrong too.

Misspelling

Firstly, are you sure it's the same place? If so, is it in a different dialect or naming convention?

Secondly, you misspelled "wikipedia".
