A couple of interesting things this last weekend.

First at church: Increasingly I've adopted many practices that I perceive ad feminine. One of them is sitting to do my business in the bathroom, which means that I always use the stall in public restrooms. At church, where I've been attending since long before I came out to anyone but my wife, this last Sunday I needed to use the restroom before service. In the stall, there was a new roll of TP and the left over small portion of the previous roll on top of it. So I used the part roll to wipe in front. I'm sure that I flushed.

2019-06-06 Remembering D-day and a personal thing

Edit: added videolink for a song written by Jim Radford.

About 75 years ago allied forces landed on Normandy beaches opening a second western front (after the Mediterenean one). and the final act of the European part of WO2 was finally started. We still remember.
On the shores

On the personal part. Everyone that reads this blog knows that I, be it personal or business , haven't had a good decade.

Girl? Boy? Gender Fluid

We do a lot of stories about the boy who can easily switch gender so he-she is recognized as she. Back in the late sixties and seventies a lot of boy bands were desperately trying to stand out from the crowd. Several ideas were tried by the different bands. High pitched voices, long hair of course, glitzy clothes that could be female, and to a lesser extent even full makeup. Most looked like long haired males. Some had me doing double, triple takes.

Interesting quote from a bad novel

“You see it from a man’s point of view-you see sex as a coupling, like two cars in a train attaching themselves to each other with a gentle crunch. Women see it as a penetration, an invasion, an assault with or without battery, which leaves scars, some of which are visible, most of which are concealed. Can’t you understand? At different points in our lives we are different people. These points can be days apart, even hours, it doesn’t matter. Women love differently then men. We spend our lives trying to figure out . what it means to be female.

A rough weekend

As is true every year, Memorial Day weekend was not easy for me. Those of us who have served, those of us who have lost friends and comrades, those of us who have known loss - we will never forget.

But there are certain times certain things that spur our memories. This weekend was one of those for me. It is not just a time for remembrance, but a time for caring. A time for me to think of those who I have lost, and to think of those they left behind.

They were an ordinary couple

Ran across this again. The last time was several years ago. I'm sure some of you have seen it. This couples story, less the full time coming out and resulting full transition, could be mine. Makes me wonder just where my journey will end.

My husband became a woman

Kink and T(g,v,s) / CD

It's been bugging me a bit for I years if I am being honest.

I know I am definitely into kink\(how I met my soon to be ex) and I've seen a lot of T(v,g,s) / CD around.

Now my question. Is there a relation to kink and us, or is are we generally more inclined to the kink scene?

She married herself

https://www.dailywire.com/news/46742/woman-who-married-herse...
If it fulfills her self esteem after two failed marriages and a five year boyfriend relationship which also failed..., why not? The funny part of this is I agree as this seemed to bring something into her life to help salvage her emotions. Wish I had been there. Might be another way to bring self respect to those who have lost it.
Too many lost to hate and suicide. Weighs on the soul.

Little update.

Due to the soon, hopefully, ex still not having filled the divorce papers, I have been looking at OK divorce lawyers that are LGBT friendly. Girl are the expensive. 3000 dollars or there about just to redact the papers, get my an my soon to be ex autographs and file them.

No way in hell I can afford them till 2021 (going to take that long to get those 3000 dollars).

Sighs, never a good break in my life ....

Sad Anniversary

Today is the anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995. At 9:02am White Nationalist Timothy McVeigh set off a U-Haul truck loaded with 55 gallon drums filled with anfo* explosives that killed 168 men, women, and children. The truck was parked in the street directly in front of the building's daycare center insuring a heavy loss of life among these youngest victims. An additional 680 men, women, and children were injured. This remains the largest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history.

Cutthroat Politics in the Publishing World

When I was in publishing, a NYT best seller was listed before it had even been written. Of course none of the major newspapers carried the story about the gaff. Among the independent publishers the story made the rounds but then we already knew publishing was as much political and who each publisher courted which book reviewer to get their books ranked at the top of everyone's list.

Before Bill Gates and MS

Someone had mentioned a time line for Model Makers. I replied it was written before MicroSoft. It also was before floppies and hard drives. Those of us who built our own computers?, they were two bit binary, also had to write our own programs. Ahh, the trip down memory lane had me question what we used for data storage? We used tape. Yes it was a tape recorder tied into the computer? to hold our programs. We programmed in basic and a thousand bits was a program hog.

The last month made me realise I am not doing that good healt (mostly mental) wise. I don't have any 'reserves' or coping mechanisms (used to just go on long gaming sessions to relieve frustrations but no more gaming setup).

If I didn't have the pets or the internet I wouldn't know where I'd be.

The fact that a part of my bankruptcy problems is 'solved' (or will be as soon as I get the paperwork) has helped with it, Bbut I need a real goal to work to.

Looking for a story

Hey, I'm Sunset, and I've been lurking here for a very, very long time. Well over a decade. I'm surprised it's taken me this long to create an account here, and I kinda feel bad about it. It's funny... I've been reading stories here for several years before I accepted I was trans, and now I'm half a decade post transition... um, nice to finally met y'all, I guess.

You have pretty eyes

Our church sponsors a food bank twice a month. My wife and I volunteer there. There are about 30 volunteers there on any given day. One of the regulars is an older, I say older because she's older than me and I'm pretty old, older Hispanic lady who doesn't speak very much English. Because of the language barrier, I really don't know her enough to more than say hi to her. I don't even know her name.
