Now before I forget, (given I'm a daft blonde bint)

I shall be missing a Sunday post again this week, I'm away to parts North to visit the Offspring and Grandson followed by giving a presentation to my Archaeology group, I should be back in time to post next Wednesday. Postings will get a bit messy later in December too but more of that nearer the time.

So, the reason for my absence this last weekend was a trip to see my friend, fellow author, Angharad down near the south coast. Its about sixty miles / 100 kilometres as the crow flies and so of course I opted to journey there by bike. Given the recent weather here in the south west that wasn't necessarily the obvious choice but I like to live up to my nickname!

I'll admit it, the ride down was cold, wet and quite miserable, I arrived at my destination wetter than a Dover Sole! Thankfully the return journey on Monday was mostly dry, the wet holding off until the last couple of miles. In between we had a lot of catching up to do, some hearty eating, a visit to Purbeck and I took the opportunity to have a stroll around Maiden Castle (its actually a very impressive Iron Age hillfort built @ 2600 BP). Just to let you know, Ang is in good health but very busy both with work, her University course and her myriad other interests, thanks Ang for looking after me for the weekend.

And so to writings, well today you can read chapter 10 of Express,Wheel Barugh in which the Wunderkind shows what she's made of on the roads of North Yorkshire. I hope you enjoy it and the wait has been worthwhile.

Which of course brings me to something else that I know was worth waiting for, the publication of Angharad's Whatever Next Gaby adventure. When the first two parts of the 'Dorset' trilogy were published this was still being written and somehow slipped the publishing net even though it has been available as individual chapters on my web site. Reminded of this at the weekend, I spent a good chunk of yesterday collating it all into a single volume which, I'm happy to tell you all, Amazon very quickly processed and so it is already available for Kindle as well as in print form at Amazon, for those who dislike dealing with the Megacorp, digital and print versions are also available on Lulu, com.

So go on, its Thanksgiving after all so treat yourselves to almost 500 pages of Enid Blyton style adventure with Gaby and friends!

I've started work on the next re-edited Gaby volume, I hope to have Visitors re-posted next week. And I'm working up more of the current book too, what with one thing and another its been proving difficult to get in the mindset to write anything but I think I'm finally turning the corner. Fingers crossed the next volume will be ready for you to enjoy over the Christmas / New Year period!

Well I think that concludes todays post so a'll si thee agin soon
Maddy

Thanks for the update on Ang and yourself.
