Its been a tiring few days for Maddy but finally the 'big' day is here!

On Sunday i went to see the GC, well this week is all about the kinder yes? We had a great afternoon, over far too soon, largely because we had to get back to be ready for Monday.

And what a day that was, up at 3 to start our journey a little before 4. A long drive to the Channel and then another long drive across Belgium and into Germany, arriving at our hotel a little after 10pm, by the time we'd eaten it was fully 20 hours since getting up! Yesterday then was a bit more relaxed, a drive down to Bernkastel on the Mosel before returning for dinner and a bit of a party at the hotel. So here we are on Christmas Day, I've been for a bit of a walk, had lunch then fought with the hotel's WiFi to bring you this and of course a new Gaby chapter.

To be honest, its a little strange being so close to Schloss Bond, a little down the river from here without actually visiting, we have been through some Gaby haunts, Koblenz of course, we've waved at Neueweid and tomorrow we'll have a stop at Cochem which will feature in the new Gaby tome in the New Year. We are here for another couple of days before starting the long return on Saturday, just in time for Sunday's posting!

So, without more ado, here is todays chapter, Touchdown, more farewell's then its back to the real world for our Wunderkind!
