We'll start today with Smokin’ the Chimney, the thrilling conclusion to stage 3 of the Ryedale 3 day event. As you might expect by now, there is drama from the outset, Team Apollinaris certainly don't have it all their own way! I've included a couple of my own photographs to give you some idea of the terrain that faced the youngsters and as is always the case, they don't do anything I wouldn't do myself.

Which brings me nicely to the focus of my graft this week. If you've been keeping up with my posts this week you'll be aware of my efforts vis a vis Kindle, if you've missed those posts i'll re-post the links here.
First up Once Upon a Time in America has been updated to the 3rd edition and published as an Amazon paperback
That was then followed up by the first part of Scot Hemsley's alternate Gaby timeline, Notes of a Journey which was previously only available on my website. All Things Denied is the first part of a four part trilogy, Douglas Adams fans will get the reference, the next part will be released in January.

for some reason the print version is taking forever to process!
I have managed to get in a couple of bike rides, yesterdays trip into the Cotswolds was ridden using radar, it was thick fog for almost the entire ride! I do know that it was quite hilly and that I enjoyed an early lunch in Dursley. Then today I did a last pre xmas ride - just a short ride down to Bath and back with a stop for a pot of tea and a mince pie. The bike started making some funny noises yesterday, today I discovered why, the bottom bracket bearings seem to have died - dang, more expense, its only eighteen years old. I've now got almost 2 weeks without access to a bike, the longest no bike period I've had in over 2 years!
Tomorrow I depart for Yorkshire so my next post will be from GOC - a couple of gift distribution visits over the weekend then its off to Germany for Christmas.
