The difference of a day

Well here we are again.

When I woke up this morning it was to bright sunshine and a fortune of 30 pence! A few hours down the line and my bank balance is at least back in the black even if it won't cover next weeks rent - I have some money owed coming so I should be okay by rent day. So i'm a leetle bit more positive now than I was at the weekend, at least I can afford a cup of tea on tomorrows ride!

I went out yesterday with no set idea, pockets lightly loaded with ride snacks and the promise of a dry, warmish day. Well lets just say I got a bit carried away! Almost 140km around Derbyshire, over 2000m (6560ft) of climbing and out riding for 6.5 hours, quite tiring I have to say. The plan for tomorrow is a bit flatter at least, a ride out to the flatlands to the east!

But I've missed Monday. I was a busy Maddy on Monday, writing from breakfast to supper, three full chapters of new Gabyness! I guess sometimes the story flows, others it stalls.

So what do I have for you today? Well Wet, wet, wet is your new chapter of Book 17, Seasons. Some competitive success for the Wunderkind after a slightly fraught day on two wheels!

I've also posted a very short, illustrated 'drabble' to gauge reaction as much as anything. A Moment in Time is just that, a potential moment in Gaby's life with illustrations in a sort of 'photo novel' stylee. please let me know what you think (i'll warn you, it is pretty rough with no real backgrounds or fiddly stuff)

Looking forward, if I get another good writing day or two in, you might see the conclusion of Ontario as soon as next Wednesday - you have been warned.

Oh and forgive me if there is a late posting on Sunday, its a day out with the GC so i'm not sure when i'll get on line (or if).

I think that just about wraps things up, so for now,
Wiedersehn!
