If my heart wasn’t feeling so messed up than I might just be aroused…more than I am…which yeah that means I am a little.

We just lie there together and he turns on one of those fireplace log burning DVD’s.
Being held and no judging and someone that gets it and is still talking to me….

It feels like.

It feels like I’ve been tossed off my boat that was my life and that finally someone has their hand out and holding onto mine and keeping the waves from swamping me and keeping the undertow from dragging me down.

Beginnings…

I had watched my brother so carefully all those years ago, but now I could hardly remember him. Sarah was so clearly Right Here and Now that I sometimes found false memories arriving, where she had been a young girl rather than a non-boy. That first day, in a dress; I mean, I knew she was going down the girl route, but there she was, filling my eyes in stereoscopic womanhood.

Jake questions reality, but concern for the possible danger he and his friends might be in help him focus. Nick discovers how hard plate mail is to remove in an emergency and Emily discovers a possible game changer.

Chapter 29

I step between them and into his cell. He’s having too much fun to be a bad guy. He’s…just a little tarnished and bent I think. Actually I like him already.

“Thank you Ryann that’s kind of you.” I actually sit on his wall cot and look at him.

“My mother raised me not to be a complete hooligan lady.”

“Wren, you can just call me Wren.”

“Oy, well that’s an honor considering we just met. What can I do for you then?”

I smile at him and look him up and down. “I’m finding myself in need of a burglar.”

Jake and his friends looked forward to play Dragons Blood Online during their monthly LAN gaming session. It was going to be a big night now that their characters had finally all reached level 60. Sure, the forecast called for some rain and maybe a little thunder, but with an industrial strength UPS, who worried about the weather?

I first ran away from home when I was 10 years old, my mom had left two years earlier because of abuse from my dad. The first time I ran away, I was caught and two weeks later, I was returned home. The last time I changed my name and I ran away into New York City... I became what we called a street rat; living on and under the streets...

Chapter 20

*Before…

I was on my rotation in Sense-nav when I heard the news. We just received orders to head instead of to the last five system stops we were going to jump all the way to Zodiac space.

The Zodiac colonies aren’t exactly like the astrological stuff but they are as well. The colonies that rule that cluster are named after the astrological signs but it’s more because the signs are associated with animals.

The Zodiac colonies are deviants.

Deviants are genetic or nano tweaked people that do it for fashion or in the cases of these places as a form or adaptation to their planets they’ve colonized.

The Zodiac colonies are on the edge of Aberrant space.
