Tuesday Night

I decided if I was going to meet Derrick I would dress a little sexy. Why not. This was supposed to be a week of experimenting with sex, and I might as well join in. It's what Lainie would have wanted, I tried to convince myself.

"Assuming the tests come back clear, you will need to make a choice. Do you want hormone therapy that will make you appear more masculine or more feminine?”

I managed to escape without going back through the boys’ locker room

I would cross that bridge when I came to it, I decided. In heels.

“Dorothy was a child, and she missed her home. Her Aunty Em. I left home when I was 21, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back even to visit. It’s not home anymore. And I’ll be honest: I’ve always thought Dorothy was an idiot for going back.”

She cocked an eyebrow in question and I said, “Have you been to Kansas?”

Mike gazed around the small living room of Susan’s flat. It was in a run-down tower block. He was quite used to this. Women like Susan never had much money for “nice things”. That’s what made them such a pushover.

Mike would flatter them. A little sugar always got the flies. It worked with real women, but with women like Susan, it was always easier. They were just craving for a man to approve of them as a woman. He knew just the right things to say to push their buttons. Many of them were lonely. They lost most of their friends and family doing what they do.

Chapter 54

It ended up taking 30 minutes before Marcy and Lisa left the room, thirty minutes during which it slowly dawned on Marcy that she was really free from that bastard. As they emerged from the room, they were nearly instantly greeted by Linda, standing tall and confident as always. Marcy couldn’t help but blush as she looked at the tall imposing woman standing there in nothing but her lingerie, and not even a full set as her panties were missing.

When they arrived both Ashley and her mother were all giggles. It took them multiple trips to bring all of Ashley’s new clothes up to her bedroom by which time the floor was literally littered with. They were so consumed by the fun atmosphere that remained after their shopping trip that they didn’t even think about Keira.

That weekend was the start of a train of events that a few short months later, one week after my sixteenth birthday, led to my finding myself on the eve of the most momentous day of my life. That’s right! My wedding day!

Part 14 Teenager In Love

On the way back to the hotel I pulled him into a jeweller where we chose an engagement ring. It wasn’t flashy but I could see the worried look on his face at the price.

I chuckled, “I’ll get it today and get the boss to take it out of your wages during the summer.”

That done he put it on my finger and I kissed him before paying the account and we went back to the hotel.

Part 12 Here comes the Sun

The next morning I woke with a man cuddling me for the first time. I took advantage of his readiness one more time before we went and showered; then dressing before going down for breakfast.

He dressed quickly in his outfit from last night and sat on the bed and watched me as I selected a top and skirt to wear.

When I sat at the vanity to brush my hair he came and stood behind me with us looking at our reflection in the mirror.

Part 9 Money, Money, Money

The band stopped playing and the police in the hall went to see what the noise was all about.

One of them came back to me, “He claims that you’re his long lost daughter and he says he wants to make up for what he did. I suggest you have a little chat with him because he won’t go away unless he sees you.”

I motioned for the band to start playing and followed the policeman, the surfer surgeon joining us. Out in the foyer two burly guys were standing next to a chap sitting on a chair with his face in his hands.

Part 7 Morning Has Broken

I came back to consciousness, of a sort. I was unable to see anything but could hear machinery making noises around me. I felt different and suddenly thought that being able to feel at all was proof that something good had happened.

It took me some time before I figured out what the difference was. I was obviously in a hospital bed but now my body had no bandages while my head was swathed in them.
