I have been writing fiction for over a year now (started April 2021) on other sites of course, phew, and this one was originally just for me, something to read through at night with a half a bottle of Merlot, but things change... It started out as a short little story about a crossdresser with low self-esteem and turned into so much more. Four people who always pay it forward, four people we can all use in our own lives. I wish to mention. I know there are matters that would arise in real life that I'm not dealing with. It's by design, I'm calling it artistic licence. It is fiction after all, and I want to keep it 'sweet and sentimental'.

Ages... undetermined, I don't know myself, early teens maybe. Calum/Cassie 12 to 14, Sarah 14 to 16. Perhaps. I've left that up to the reader to call, if you choose.

Tears began to fill Charles’ eyes as he spoke. “My dad is a deacon and he kicked me out of the house and told me not to come back until I changed. I can’t change. I have tried and tried. I thought he loved me. I was raised in church and that has been important in my life. Why does God want me to be miserable — putting me in the wrong body and saying that it is wrong and requiring me to live a life that I cannot?”
