Forward

Children's adventure stories such as Nancy Drew or the Famous Five all revolve around a similar theme. That theme is usually about the child, or children, confronting adversity and triumphing in the end.

The story that follows is a variation on that theme and viewed from a different perspective. Our little tale concerns a young boy spending a holiday with his older girl cousin and favourite aunt. The children become obsessed with the mystery of the figure of a lonely girl who regularly appears in the garden of a nearby manor house. When our hero's cousin and a small group of school friends are invited to spend a couple of days staying at the manor to work on a school project, she is presented with the perfect opportunity to solve the mystery. To make her plan work, however, she must enlist her cousin's help and get him included in the party. The only problem is that the party must consist of girls only....

This story is written to depict a young boy's first innocent encounters with cross-dressing and his subsequent feelings. If the reader is seeking descriptions of explicit or adult sex then they will be disappointed because this sort of thing is not included here.

The Box's Pandora part 23

When 15 year old Byron and his family go to visit Aunt Dora during spring break, they soon find themselves under an unexpected attack. In the aftermath, Byron's body and life change in ways that he never could have expected, or imagined.

Hero Prince(ss) Chapter 4

f6d28f1e4cab9b0c6bb87ce5f2999a01.jpg

This is a story of a time that could've been a long time ago, but not of this world. It is a tale of a prince and a hero. A tale of a hero who fought with all his might and lost so much, yet also gained so much. A tale that will make you laugh (hopefully), cry (maybe) or unsure if you should laugh or cry. Though it must be said, that this is not a typical fairytale.

What would you do if your companion is keeping a lot of secrets from you? What if this companion also has the power to implode a continent?

The Curse 2: The Cursening, Chapter 4: In Which Things End

This is it. The end of this tale. It's taken me longer than it should have (I hit a massive roadblock in the form of writer's block), but it's here now, it's the final end. It's also technically become longer than novella length, but I don't really consider this a novel. Also, this chapter contains cameos of characters from a different story that hasn't been posted here yet. That story is up on TG Storytime, if you want to read it before I start bringing it here, the title is Don't Fear the Reaper.

Cherry Moone: MooneShadows: Chapter 8: Where Boys Fear to Tread

(Ive been feeling a little down this week...enough that taking a long jump from a tall condo building was on my mind a lot. But, I'm still here, but still having those feelings at time...writing helps, in short bursts...so, I have to take back my promise to not post snippets at a time...as it helps)

VIII. Where Boys Fear to Tread

Requiem For A Lost Child

Forty years ago
A child was born
Into this world.

Perfect
In all ways
With ten fingers
And toes.

No visible signs
Of a birth defect
Except one.

Only known
To the child.

Not a defect
As society understands
But a greater truth.

That burns
With the intensity
Of a white-hot flame.

Removing all doubt
In the child's mind.

She takes small steps
Within the safety
And privacy
Of the bathroom.

A last bit of WEIRDNESS before calling it a night

Once upon a time, an old country doctor was visiting a sick patient on his farm. As he was leaving, he happened to see an old, boarded up well, which piqued his curiosity. Naturally, he wondered why it was boarded up, so he went over to remove the obstruction. Alas, he accidentally fell in. For two days, the farmer and his friends tried to get the good doctor out, finally succeeding as the sun was setting. The curious doctor had learnedaval uable lessonand, never again let his curiosity run away with him.

Moral:

Visitor from my dreams

Visitor from my dreams

Author's note: I read a writer's prompt on facebook, and it went something like "She came to me in my dreams, and in my nightmares", and my muse took it from there ...

At first, i thought she was a nightmare, the girl in my dreams.

For I was a boy, or supposed to be. So where could this girl I dreamed of being come from?

Then there were the nightmares in truth, but she was not the monster in them, but rather a victim - a prisoner, tormented and captive.

Chapter 24
So far: The events in Stone Ledge reach a conclusion, and not a happy one. However Marilyn receives a treasure, and the flotilla heads back to the reserve in record time. The loss of Virginia Audette is not yet a completed story, however.

Illusion of Being Maternal

It's time for a new Mercynaries illustrated story, The Illusion of Being Maternal. The story of a not-so-bright employee that just wants to help his company out, fashion, unnecessary puns, and sandwiches. I don't understand how the fashion industry works, so clearly it's controlled by a sinister cabal.

In this and future episode’s of Book 2 I have borrowed very heavily from the excellent ‘Sharpe’ series of books by Bernard Cornwell which describe the times, the country and the life in the army perfectly.
I have avoided using any names in those novels but in a few places I have used Major Sharpe as a cameo character.

Lily - Part 1

“Mom, when do I get to take this off?”, Willy whined, one hand behind his pink-clad hip, the other hand on the bent knee of his bare, chalk-dusty leg. Light reflected off his shiny pink leotard as bright camera bulbs flashed in his vision, causing him to blink his mascara-shadowed eyes.

Night and Day, part 12 of 12

“Cool! Were you this smart before you transformed? I wasn’t. I transformed while I was doing some science homework, and suddenly everything made a lot more sense, and I read to the end of the textbook by the end of the week, and asked Mrs. Taylor for some more books...”

Elsewhere, Otherwhen, Somehow: Chapter 4

The meeting with the strange cat had been odd, but Theona felt no fear of the cat and soon returned to her briefly disturbed sleep.

As she knelt by her blanket just before lying down again, she noticed that Tanris had unhitched the six krants from the wagon at some point and had set them on long leads running from heavy ringbolts in the wagon's frame so they could wander around and graze through the night.

Monuments

How many days like this have I seen now? This time it is bright and sunny and for some reason it matches my mood. A part of me wants to dance as I used to in musty ages past, when that was a way of showing honor to fallen comrades, fallen opponents… Customs are different now and it would be frowned upon to do such a thing in such a weighty place. Instead I content myself with a small smile and a few moments more of standing there with my memories.

Girl for a day.

Once, there was this boy who loved to make fun of girls. His name was Jeff, and he loved to discriminate girls, by calling us “short” and saying we “cannot play basketball”, when in reality, he is only 1.6m tall, and does not have any of the masculine features that make up a man.up a man.

Making fun of girls was a habit for him, since the day I met him on the first day of school. Everyone seems to tolerate his behaviour, for it was only the verbal remarks that nobody could accept. Thankfully, I was never approached by him before, so I don’t know how bad it was.

A quick knock
On Stacey/Stuart’s bedroom door
Was greeted by
A hurried
“Just one moment please”.

“It’s ok Stacey
You do not have hide
Anymore”
Jane told her
Through the closed door.

Slowly
The door open
A half dressed Stacey
Looked out.

Not sure
If she had heard right
From her big sister.

“You heard right Stacey
From me.”

Jane rushed forward
Crushing Stacey
In a fierce hug.

An Ode to 'Bike'

An Ode to 'Bike', the first 10 years

I’d rather be Riding my bicycle
My bicycle made for two
With bells and rings and things on
But a trusty read that always delivers
What it says on the tin

Through thick and thin
Wet and Dry
Another episode comes along
And then two or three more just like busses
But it always delivers
What it says on the tin

Angharad you are a trooper
Sooper dooper
And that is a fact
But the tales go on
And it always delivers
What it says on the tin
