"God, I hate these damn crippled bums!" James exhaled, as he stumbled drunkenly down the alley. "All they ever do is beg for handouts. They're just a burden on society and good for nothing. They should all just be rounded up and put out of their miserable existence."

The young girl sat alone during the lunch hour. She didn't sit with the other students in the lunchroom. No, she walled herself in the safety of a classroom. While others were out on the field talking and running (one would not dare call it "recess" in junior high) she stayed behind to read a book.
"What are you doing in here, cow?"
She refused to look up from her reading--not wanting to give her tormentor the satisfaction.
"Are you too afraid to be with the others? Or are you afraid you’ll squash them flat?"
"I don’t weigh that much."

The first of the Autumn Gales was making its way up the St George’s Channel and into the Irish Sea. The late afternoon sky was darkening and the one ship that I could see from my window looked like it was in for a rough night.

I was in the process of pulling the curtains and shutting out the storm when I saw a brief light coming from the half ruin of a barn that marked the edge of my property. The morning comes like usual. We stay at the railway station, on the platform. Alia - Atan, now dressed as a man, goes to work, while I stay here and do my job, changing the lines. Before he gets into the train, we hug. People in the train scream at us, as he gets into the train.

"Not yet!" I answer, as I get to the radio, to contact nearby stations.

"Hmmm..." said Uncle Quatrus.

"'Hmmm...'? repeated Daryl, concerned. Perhaps because the large man seemed to be staring at her chest.

"Hmmm..." Quatrus repeated, nodding. He straightened, which let Daryl relax a bit. "Quite interesting. Do you happen to know why she chose this particular form?"

Darvel High, Darvel Washington
"Are you sure you're ready for this Leigh?" Mom said.

She'd pulled up right outside the front gate of Darvel High. It was a warm day, and many of the students where still sitting on the front lawn, waiting for the bell to ring.

Everything was just a foggy haze. Emma just lay there number looking up at the ceiling. The bright fluorescent lights were almost blinding.
Where was she? "Where am I?" She thought
She tried turning to look around but her head was held firmly in place.
"Where am I?" She thought again. The last thing she remembered was a car ride
"Car ride to where?" She didn't have the littlest idea where she was and just as she was about to panic, she heard a voice
"Miss Peterson?"

"Just a few more and we'll call it a day, Emma. Looking good" Cindy said winking at Emma as she walked behind the cameraman
Emma proceeded to place her hands on her waist as she arched her shoulders forward. She put up her most sensual look as part of her hair fell in front of her face.
After a few more of those poses, it seemed she was done for the day
"Good job today" Cindy said walking up to her
"Thanks" Emma replied

0:47pm Monday Morning
"Hi my name is Cindy. I've been expecting you. This way please"
Emma followed Cindy through a series of hallways. It was surprisingly busy for a modelling agency.
There were large pictures on the walls of stunning women on the covers of magazines all over the world- Elle, Vogue, People Stylewatch, Marie Claire
"Have you started having goosebumps yet?"
"This is amazing!"

Emma woke up smiling. Relishing in the thought that she could fall back asleep if she wanted. It had been 3 days since she had met Andrew's parents which was followed by 2 more days of soul crushing university work but saturday was here.
She didn't have anything to do except wait for calls regarding her request to change every document she had to reflect her gender and change the pictures on her drivers' license.
