Chapter 20

I get up early despite it being a late night because my brain just won’t turn off. I actually feel sore and achy but it doesn’t matter because at the same time I really feel good. It’s so one of those my heart is feeling better than my body and carrying me above and beyond.

I slip out of bed and pad through the house making the morning coffee and doing up a batch of French toast with the homemade bread. That done along with some bacon in the oven to warm I get the camera phone and make my way upstairs recording myself for our sites.

“Hey it’s Jem, it’s about six twenty in the morning and I’ve just got to show you something amazingly cool about one of the band. Her name’s Roxy and she’s our drummer and I’ll show you all why.”

*Summer…..

I am like beyond pissed off.

I mean how fucking could she?

I can’t believe that she wrote a song for this new chick. Okay like she’s hawt and stuff I mean kinda smoking really and waaaay too good for a cow like Rayne. But you just look at them and there’s like something there.

There shouldn’t be something there.

I mean like fuck.

I thought that she loved me, so if she really loved me you’d think she’d be missing me.

Charlie just wanted to get into a music festival.

On the outskirts of the city at Rogers Hall Dr Eva Delving sat behind her desk looking at a bank of monitors. Her face drawn in its permanent scowl, Miss Francis stood behind her looking at the monitors showing the wing where their victims/subjects were housed. The two of them were looking at one feed in particular and Eva was almost growling.

“Well Danine seems this one is a lot tougher to break?” Eva pointed at the screen.
