And so this little Ad Hoc tale continues. There won't be any more for at least two weeks, I'm afraid.

The name tag said Shirley. Underneath that, in smaller type, it said Foundation Fitter and underneath that again it said Supervisor.

"Dave? Dave Shepherd? You remember me, don't you? Shirley Boothroyd from school, only I'm Shirley Parsons now. What are you doing in here?"

The man standing in front of her reddened and looked extremely embarrassed, as well he might, since they were standing in the Ladies Underwear department of Maddens, a top department store. They had decided to travel to a nearby city so that he wouldn't meet anyone he knew, and as luck would have it...

Shirley decided that it was more than simple embarrassment that had upset an old school chum. There had been nothing between the two of them to cause any problem so why..? She looked briefly at the two young women with him, and then back to Dave, raising an eyebrow.

"I, um, need to be fitted for a bra."

“You said you were not betrothed to any man back home; do you hope that Verentsu will ask you to be his bride?”

“Yes,” Launuru said shyly. “But I am afraid...” The geas wouldn't let her complete the sentence.

My muse simply insists that I develop this tale. There will probably be five or so parts, and at extremely random intervals. But there's a solid tale there, and I have to write it. Enjoy.

Dave groaned and forced one eye open. He had fallen asleep on the couch again, his head at a painful angle to the rest of his body. In the corner the television flickered and danced with some daytime quiz program he'd never seen before. He was lying at a low angle, obviously having fallen over as he drifted off. He attempted to straighten up, wincing as his neck assumed its proper orientation. The weights on his chest moved alarmingly, travelling around of their own accord as he sat up, finally assuming their normal hanging position. He yawned.

It was actually pretty cool even going through all the same old stuff in physiotherapy and getting my baselines of what I can do and what I can’t and what my good days are like and what my bad days are like. But it’s nothing like with Nan or my Dad.

Aunt Holly actually asks why something is the way that it is, she asks if she can be shown if any of the exercises she can do with me at home are and she is right there helping me and learning and giving a shit.

Gilbanar makes an intriguing suggestion to Garia before she is confronted by Marlin, who tries again to offer marriage. It leads her to re-evaluate her course of action and makes her doubt her decisions. Later, the second steam engine demonstration goes off as planned and leads to some interesting suggestions.

Thanks to EOF for coming up with this particular bit of madness. Since I tend to have a weakness for vampires, when the offer came to do a story here I of course jumped right in.

I got a lot wrong with me that’s a given but there’s something just so…I can’t really describe it actually having permission to wear the things that I’ve always wanted to wear, needed to wear.

I pull my jacket around myself some more and hug my travel mug more and leave just going for a walk out and over my clearings and stuff. I kind of do have a nice place property wise. I haven’t walked it since I was a young teenager.

I’m so not used to this; it’s so unreal running on all fours in wolf state and having part of my conscious mind trying to process that. Then there’s the smells too and then there’s the fact that well…I’m a wolf running through the streets of London.

I love the speed that I can go though and I have the advantage of being able to run through and around things that are slowing the Vicar and his three biker goons down. Honestly the traffic in this city is the shits.

And the place smells funny.

I guess if it hadn’t been such a special thing I might have been a lot more embarrassed than I was. But as we were dancing there was this little ripple of smiles and looks of isn’t that romantic that are buzzing through some of the other patrons and two other couples get up and start dancing too.

It was a very cool moment, probably one of the coolest moments in my life. When the song ended Alex looks over at the couple that let him set his I-phone down on their table and says. “Thank you.”

Rose learns what she accidentally invoked. She gets a tour of her temporary home and a demonstration of the powers of two of her new friends. Rose's father learns that she is safe, but in the hands of a powerful business rival. Back home, two attempts are made against Tara - one successful.
