“Are you certain this is the right path?”

Two figures crept down a narrow underground passageway, shoes slipping across shallow puddles lining the curved concrete floor. Their coats, one jet black and the other a lighter brown, flickered in the weak light offered only by a white crystal held forward by the taller and much darker-skinned man.

“They didn’t provide a map, Callas. I told you the same instructions they told me, and your memory is as perfect as mine. If you think we’ve misapplied the sequence, you should’ve spoken up.”

“Hmm.”

“I don’t know. But it feels…. You tell me.” She pulled back slightly and smiled. Susan put her head down and seemed almost lost in thought for a few minutes.

“I feel …. It’s like when Lucy told everybody about Narnia and Edmund acted as if she was making it all up.” The stories from years past had been a comfort for her when she was beginning to realize how different she was. The characters had become almost life-long friends, even present as she neared her twentieth birthday.

“You aren’t making it all up, are you?”

“No. I’m real. Why can’t everyone see that?”

It’s midnight and passed when we’re finally out from the game and it was kind of awesome to just let stuff go and play and be with friends well I was sort of too shy to really get to know them that well before but tonight it was cool it was different.

I never played a one shot RPG game before either.

I see Alex walking and I pull up. “Hey you want a lift home?’

“Sure.”

He gets in the passenger side and he’s smiling at me and he’s so cute…and wow…I’m sitting really close to him too.

My car suddenly feels really small.

I bite my lip and smile to myself after the whole thing with Janey out in the hall way and I feel very turned on but more? Powerful I guess, seductive in this only Tracy way I know that I got to her.

I know it because of the way she was breathing or not when her breath caught. And the way that her eyes looked.

Guys, men very seldom leave women in that way that I’ve seen. Other women yeah sometimes I mean…maybe. All I know is that right now Janey’s vee is likely as wet as mine is.

I walk over to the bed and slink into it and up until Jamey and I are level and I kiss him long and slowly and gently until he wakes up and as his breathing changes from being asleep to awake I pull him into consciousness by his tongue.

And at times like this, she looked more like her late sister. Jerry found himself staring at her eyes; those same eyes that flashed in protection when the boys were little and had been bullied by some kids at school; it was as if he was looking at Louise. But even more than that, something was about to awaken in him; conviction or guilt or whatever else, and it just needed a few more words to come out.

It was obvious from his comments that Musetta's life and death profoundly affected him. He also had many nice things to say about several of the characters in The Cynthia Chronicles. Breathe…even though everything is chaos around me I have to breathe, slow, steady let my breathing control my rate.

I block the pipe coming for my head with a palm and twist my wrist and arm as I do with a burst of soft chi turning it away from me and over balancing the thug with it I use him as he’s falling over to use him as a jumping block to get me into the upper parts of the warehouse. I combine my jump with a kick to the back of his head hard enough to lay him out.

Bonsai….Like the art for not Banzai the charge thing, that’s my code name. I’m on the team. I’m a junior member but at I’m active…not a reserve but an active junior Champion.

It’s Kai…me, I’m experienced and I’ve passed most of the tests they’ve put me through and I spar well enough that I’m on active duty being the team’s shinobi while Shroud’s away in Ark City

Once I‘m up in the shadowy dark of the ceilings I‘m in my element.
