I felt my cheek bones starting to bloom with color as I peered toward the powdered blue dress that had been laid out upon the bed. Laying beside the dress was a pair of wrap up brown leather sandals. On Monday morning, we got up together, showered, shaved, applied makeup, and dressed. I chose a white A-line dress with elbow sleeves, blue chest pockets, shoulders, and belt, and white sandals. Diana chose a multicolored swinging mini-dress.

Before we begin this is my second story so please bear with me as I learn and grow. I am not the best writer and my dyslexia doesn’t help with it lol. I appreciate the support of my previous story.

This story follows Sarah as she grows her salon and needs workers. An old friend from college visits, and they come up with an idea to help her fill the salon’s roster.

“There’s just one problem, Kaida,” I say, cutting into her overly enthusiastic planning session. “We don’t have any gold. Unless you’re actually planning on letting Veyron gamble away the twelve pieces we have left.”

Another week successfully completed; in a few hours, I can head home and enjoy some peace and quiet in my little corner of the desert. Well, hopefully for at least two days. Of course, then the grind starts all over again: five days of my job and the commute that goes along with it. My little corner of the desert is quite a ways from our offices, requiring a daily commute of almost fifty miles.

The room erupted in audible gasps and loud murmurs following my mother's declaration.
