Once upon a time...,no one had to teach us manners or proper dress. I guess it was because we had a mom and a dad or someone to respect and look up to. Then it became "cool" to rebel against the status quo by dressing down. Along came other things like casual Friday. Remember when all the girls wore flip flops to the White House? Movie stars stopped looking like movie stars and more like fashion wrecks. That included the guys as well as the ladies. The women looked like they bought their clothes at Back Alley Dumpsters R Us, rather than Rodeo Drive.
About six or seven years back I wrote Almost Girl as a self indulgence piece. The story wasn't completed with an ending. Let's just say chapter ten wasn't there. I forgot about it until Cathy asked me about other stories after she posted Jessica Rabbit for me. Searching the computer brought up a bunch of uncompleted stories including Almost Girl. I sent Cathy the incomplete story.
Someone mentioned B is the average breast size of women. I'm wondering where this came from? I'd dare say over eighty percent of the women I have known are C cup.
Fighter pilot, NASA Flight Surgeon, Alternate pilot for Space Shuttle, this amazing lady has "been there done that". But the one thing that makes me most proud of her unbelievable life story and amazing accomplishments..., She was true to herself.
And if you don't understand by reading her story, her birth certificate had M on it when she was born. Obviously a mistake don'tchu think!
Over the past sixty years the concepts and perceptions about those who do NOT fit the gender identity they were tagged with at birth is slowly changing. Sadly, Harry Benyamin's Gender Dysphoria is still hung onto all boy-girls caught up in the gender blender. In other words, if one doesn't accept their birth sex designation then they are crazy.
Every comment is appreciated. Believe me, every single one. If a person leaves a comment about the story it means it touched them deeply enough they became "emotionally" involved enough to say something.
Someone didn't like the way it was written. They had an opinion. Someone claims it is headed in the wrong direction. Someone likes it.
For more years than I'm going to tell, I've been writing. And I honestly love the comments that tells me my story was Road Kill because it was DOA. They got emotionally involved.
Cathy has a life and it isn't holding my hand editing my stories. She does it anyway. Hand holding that is. One would not believe nor understand the herculean task that goes into editing unless they have done it themselves.
She makes suggestions to clarify the story to the readers.
I don't understand? "Cathy Honey, the story is clear as a bell. I know exactly what I meant. Can't they read?"
If you are one of "them" and word pronoun sensitive, there is going to be a lot of hurt in the world as people describe transgender, transsexuals. Sure everyone would like to be complimented on how pretty, how handsome, how attractive, or they smell nice. People being human are more quickly to criticize than compliment.
On the other hand it isn't fair to judge others by our own ideas and concepts. He or she thinks I'm a freak of nature. They hate me for exposing the lie their prefect little divided world of boy is boy and girl is girl, then that's their problem.
Dana International won EuroVision in 98. She had a long hard emotionally bruising fight getting to the contest and then another to win. However if one read the story of her life they would understand why this amazing woman never quit. Her music is outlawed in most Muslim nations and yet is the most pirated music in those same nations. She sings and speaks fluently four languages.
Many years back Broken Cup was written and inspired by Miss International and all those like her. To know and experience the world is to be able to write about it even if we write in fiction for fun.
Not every TS is going to stand up and tell the world they want to be a boy or a girl. I've studied the boy-girl gender blender for more years than I'm going to admit. If there is one thing that is absolutely true about all of them. They are each an individual unique to their own self.
Every person is unique unto themselves. There are general guidelines for different truck drivers, plumbers, doctors. There are also norms for what girls should look like and how she should act in society. The same for boys. Act within society's guidelines unless you are one of those who want to flaunt "it".
This was written fourteen years earlier after she was gone. You don't have to believe. I didn't at the time. However some of us are..., different. Me? Let's just say I'm a "reader". I didn't know I was different. I thought everyone saw movies or pictures when they touched another person. I digress, this is about Megan who changed my perspective on reality.
Many years back she came into my life kind of like an Oklahoma whirlwind, confusing, bubbly, and talked a mile a minute.
