Not sure how many times I've been bitten (dozen or more) by that spider with two names. Brown Recluse or Fiddle Back. There is no anti venom. The horror stories of being bit by that little critter abound. Within hours of the bite the familiar Bulls Eye forms. White point in the middle with a spreading red circle around the center. Then the nightmare of tales begin as told by the victims. With in a week the flesh starts to rot until a quarter or nickle size hole is left behind.

All the aforementioned is medical research and verified by those who have been bitten and those who treat that bite.

Now, for my tale of that same spider bite along with bee stings, wasp, mosquitoes, ants, cuts, burns, etc. Nothing scientific, just plain ol country gal know how and what has been tried and works.

Another annoying bite with all the tale tell signs means I am going to swab it with straight DMSO every time I think about it for the next several days. Usually five or six times a day. By the second day the red circle is starting to diminish. By the third day all that is left is a small bump where he nailed me. By the forth day nothing. No bump, no rotting hole, no indication where he bit me.

DO NOT cover with bandaid or any cover after applying DMSO. The skin will slough off under the cover and you will think you ruined your looks or your life. Not so little camper. New skin will grow back looking like new baby skin but it is not a skin peel I would recommend. I know from experience, do NOT cover DMSO after applying.

Other bites or stings are usually gone ten minutes after applying DMSO. Burns heal without scaring. Cuts as if they never happened.

I am not responsible for what anyone does with DMSO. What I do with it is between me and God. Got that! Sore throat, one teaspoon of DMSO and ten drops of GSE in a glass of OJ usually cures in an hour or less. Cold, flu, etc a little harder to kick out. Usually two days drinking a couple glasses a day with ten drops of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) added.

I have been hit with something (flu?) the past couple years DMSO didn't touch. I had to go to MMS to kick it. (Jim Humble and MMS)
